Cask conditioned at Fleetwood Beer Festival 2010. Gold with white head. Wow, really pleasantly surprised with this, expecting a standard bitter, this is really hoppy, lemony, citric. lots of fragrant hops on a mid malty body. Very decent indeed. jackl (8301) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - NOV 29, 2012
Cask @ The Euston Tap. The pour’s deep gold with a creamy white head. The nose is dried grass, honeyed bread, toast and red apples. Sweet, inviting aromas. The taste is of a traditional bitter with modest grassy hoppiness, hints of citrus fruits on the finish. Sweet grains, nice soft malty body. Crisp, clean, harmonious flavors. This gets pretty much everything right. Overall, this is an unbelievably good bitter. One of the best I’ve had in the style. Leighton (22056) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 30, 2012
Cask at the Euston Tap, London. Poura lightly hazy yellow with a rich, creamy white head. Crisp, zesty citrus nose, lemon, some tight pale malts. Light to medium sweet flavor with some dry grass, faint pine, pithy citrus, pine needles, pale malts. Light bodied with fine, smooth carbonation. Lightly resinous to finish with pithy lemon, faint grapefruit, dry pine needles. Extremely solid session beer.

Cask handpull at Everyman Bistro, Liverpool. Not a traditional brown best bitter, but a pale gold one. Lasting white head. Grapefruit citrus hoppy aroma, ok pale malts in mouth, then very bitter on finish, proper stinging bitterness shows good use of bittering hops. Really good. wyzzywyz22 (2108) - Wirral, Merseyside, ENGLAND - FEB 8, 2011

the White Star, Liverpool, and several times around Merseyside. Clear golden looks with a small lingering white head. Fairly gentle aroma with notes of citrus and hop evident. Nice juicy mouthfeel. Quite light and straightforward flavour, but the hoppage is well executed. Lingering bitterness in the finish.
A well above average best bitter that is definitely worth a look.
Light hazy golden colour with a white head. Hoppy citric aroma. Moderate malty sweetness with a lot of fresh citric hopps in the flavour. Absolutely best on bottle due to a more lively carbonation. A bit flat on tap.sdavies83 (28) - - APR 5, 2014
[Bottle at brewery and on tap in Liverpool, England]
Good session beer. Malty aroma, light brown in appearance, a slightly bitter taste with sweet finish.

On cask at the York Tap. Pours a slightly hazy light golden colour with a fair white head. Aroma of pine, pineapple, lemon, caramel and yeast. Similar flavours with mild carbonation and an oily mouth-feel. Quite bitter and dry to finish. Not bad at all.
