Very dark brown, thin white head
Aroma - dark caramel, quite fruity, roasted malts, quite spicy
Taste - Roasted malts, bit spicy, getting a hint of aniseed?, fresh taste
Palate - Light to medium body, finish as main flavour - bit more of that slight aniseed note
Overall - Nice stout with that bit of spicyness
Tastes quite mild for a stout, all the tastes you expect- coffee, bit nutty- nothing huge or anything. Fine. ravidesai (978) - Bombay, INDIA - JUN 24, 2012
On cask at the Euston tap in London.
Pours a dark brown with a thin head.
aroma of malt, toast.
A nice smooth drink. slightly sweet and toasty with a lingering taste of coffee and nuts.
Could easily be classified as a mild as well. needs to be hopped a bit more. A deeper roast would help bring in more earthy flavors.

Cask at the Euston Tap, London. Pours clear brown with a fine, beige foam head. Sweet-smelling charcoal nose, hints of finer and roast. Medium sweet flavor with distinct ginger flavors, moderate roast, burnt sugar, light chocolate. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Faintly dry to finish with some bittersweet cocoa, burnt chocolate, faint ginger, earth, some grapes and plums. Interesting stout. Pretty nice. wyzzywyz22 (2108) - Wirral, Merseyside, ENGLAND - JAN 6, 2012
Cask, Ship & Mitre, Liverpool. Very dark slightly red tinged brown with a small lingering tan head. Aroma of ash, roasted malt, coffee, soy and a hint of berry fruit. Smooth fullish mouthfeel. Flavour was similar with further notes of charcoal, ash and dark chocolate. Some bitterness towards the finish. Very drinkable and tasty stout.
