Half, cask at Vernon Arms in Liverpool. A filmy-layer to a near-clear amber coloured body. Spotty lacing. Mid-dry aroma of earthy malts and herbal hops. Flavour of mid-sweet earthy malts mingled with dried fruits leading to a malt bitter ending. Medium to thin bodied. Just alright (01.02.2015). fonefan (50756) - VestJylland, DENMARK - AUG 25, 2012

Cask (handpump) @ Vernon Arms, 69 Dale Street, Liverpool, Merseyside, England L2 2HJ.
Clear medium to dark amber colour with a average, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, nutty, caramel, light roasted. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, fruity, nutty. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat.
Cask, Ye Cracke, Liverpool. Clear dark bronze colour with a smallish sullied white head. Uninspiring malty snout with a hint of metal lurking. Rather earthy, leaden malt driven flavour that gave way to a lingering bitter finish. Relatively clean and drinkable, but dull.
