Cask. Pours dark with ruby tints in the light. Aroma is caramel and cough drops. Tastes more s yr ongly if smoked roasted malts and yes a hint of pepper at the end. Cask at The Earl Grey Inn, Leek. A deep brown colour with a thin off white head. Aroma of blackjacks, smoke, some roasted malts, slight chilli, subtle chocolate, blackberry and maybe herbal hops. Taste of smoke, roasted malts, some blackberry, spicy chilli, slight coffee, soft aniseed and herbal hops. Light bodied and soft carbonation. A dry, spicy bitterness in the finish. [Waterloo Beer Festival, Liverpool, 2014] - Liverpool Organic Brewery Liverpool Stout, 4.7%, dunkelbraun undurchsichtig, Aroma von Vanille bestimmt, dazu Kakao. Leicht ölig, Mittleres bis volles Mundgefühl. Vanille und Milchschokolade im Antrunk, dennoch nicht süßlich. Zur Mitte eher dunkle Schokolade, darüber schwebt weiter eine Vanilenote. Cask at the Belvedere Arms, Liverpool. Very dark brown, with a decent tan head. Bouquet of chocolate, burnt toast and caramel biscuit spread. Tastes sweet for a stout, but certainly not without coffee bean bitter edges. Smooth, silky and full palette. A solid cask stout. Cask at the Court House, Dudley. Poured a clear dark brown with a thin broken off white head. The aroma is spicy malt citrus. Cask (handpump) @ NWAF 2013, National Winter Ales Festival, The Venue, Sheridan Suite, Manchester, England.
ABV: 4.7%. Clear dark black brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, chocolate, spicy - darp spicies, light to moderate hoppy, mineraels. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and light moderate bitter with a long to average duration, spicy, dark malt, roasted. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. 
Cask conditioned at St. Aldates Tavern, Oxford. Black with cream head. There is a full, roast, creamy body to this, some liquorice, some charcoal then hints of spicy hop in the close. A really pleasant and decent stout.
