On tap at The Livery.
Pours a dark copper color with a very thin light tan head that disappears almost as quickly as the glass gets set down. Swirling will do nothing to bring it back ground the dead. The nose is odd--it smells like grainy sawdust that has been soaked in a strong alcohol solution. No real dark fruit character until it starts to really warm up when I get a bunch of really sweet grapes. The flavor is really bad--quite grainy and not nearly full enough in body. Pretty gross.

Draft sample at the Michigan Brewers Guild Fall Fest. Poured an amber/brown with thin tan head. Aroma of slight bourbon and wood, sweet bready malt, and dark fruits. Sweet and slight tartness from the wild yeast. Medium mouthfeel, light carbonation. Interesting and pretty good. badnewsbeers (2312) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - SEP 1, 2010
livery 5th anniv party in benton harbor, mi. pours an orangish brown with small head. aroma and flavor was a bizarre mess of too-much sugar, caramel, maple, and breads..finish begins with raisin and ends with slight citrus and bitter/dry hops marcus (10582) - Sacramento, California, USA - AUG 30, 2010
On tap at the brewpub. Pours light amber with a decent off-white head and a fruity aroma. There is a rich toffee flavor with a nice bourbon trail. This is a great quad. deyholla (12037) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - AUG 22, 2010
On tap at The Livery 5th anniversary party. Poured a slightly cloudy amber with a light brown head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma was sweet with maple and sweet bread with a bit of funk and light fruit underlying. Flavor was sweet grain and got a bit darker with some fruit and a slightly bitter finish. Seemed a bit unbalanced to me.

Growler shared by BBB63 at DLD ’10- thanks again, Mike! He aged it in the growler for 2 years, which I thought was pretty interesting. Pours a cloudy orange-gold without much visible carbonation or head. Aroma is heavy on mixed fruits, such as pear, cantaloupe, and orange citrus, along with a nice spice, caramel malts, yeast, and definite alcohol. The spice shows up again in the flavor in the form of spicy green pepper, along with the same fruit notes, some caramel and honey sweetness, and a good boozy burn. Medium-full bodied, with a smooth, sticky mouthfeel. Finishes boozy and sweet. Very cool, interesting beer. SrSilliGose (3331) - pouring bus, New Brunswick, CANADA - APR 27, 2010
