SpongeRuiner (1114) - Michigan, USA - MAR 21, 2015
On tap at HopCat. Pours a frosty deep golden color. With a sticky white lacing and head. An earthy grassy citrus aroma. A very refreshing sip of slight tart lemons. A bubblegum flavor comes in towards the back half and finishes it off. A dry finish. Good stuff.

Draft sample at MBGF Summer08. Poured orange color with an average fizzy off-white head that lasted with fair lacing. Heavy complex woody sour citrus aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture. Medium to heavy sour flavor with a medium sour bitter finish of long duration. Complex refreshing beer.

Draft pour on tap at GTMW 2012 (Madison, WI). Pours a richer straw yellow hue, touches of glow, bit of orange with a frothy whitish head atop. Dies to a small ring, laces small. Aromas are touches of straw, yeast, and funky brett. Horseblanket, oak, and gentle tart fruit. Some life. Initial is lighter end of the fold, touches of tart lemon and apple, gentle brett and funk, straw, and gentle yogurt. Middle offers some tartness, gentle yogurt, straw, and gentle oak. Some bready malts, dough, lighter and a touch vibrant and fizzy. Backend is a bit of estery apple and pear, gentle tartness. Lingering funk, fairly crisp, medium funk and a bit of tartness. Nice lighter summer Wild with some high drinkability.

joeneugs (6371) - Livermore, California, USA - MAR 3, 2015
750 ml. bottle. It pours a nice clear deep golden color with a medium fizzy off white head. The aroma some light funk, straw, hints of stone fruit and white grape. Nice subdued oaky notes seem more Chardonnay derived to me with the more tropical/white grape thing going on. The flavor is pretty much the same with more prominent barrel oak and grape notes. Light hints of caramel and stone fruit before a mildly soapy, phenolic finish. Almost no sourness here, just a little acidity and funk. It has a decently full body, but a dry finish befitting a brett beer. Very pleasant stuff.

UPDATED: OCT 19, 2009 tap at the livery....poured a slightly hazy orange brown with a short-lived soapy white head clinging to the edges....a really fruity aromatic nose consisting of tropical and citrus fruits. not too much barrel influence.....flavor was tart and citrusy with an abundance of fruit. soft carbonation and very refreshing overall......a really great way to start off the day.
