Growler… Hazy yellow ale with no head. I can only describe the aroma as Barnyard-Extreme! Layers of fresh and stale manure, straw, horse blanket and limburger cheese – in a good way? Yep! Medium-bodied with nearly expired carbonation. Tart with essences of aged, old, vintage cheese. No residual sweetness can be found lingering in the midst of the acidity and the balancing, earthy, minerally bitterness. Finishes tart, funky and dry. Thanks to GoT for providing the growler! 5th Annual MBG Winter Beer Festival, Grand Rapids. Murky orange-brown body, medium cream head. Oaky nose, sour and fruity, tangy, and herbal. Quite oaky body, lactic and tangy, with sour, tart fruits. Good complexity. b3shine (9079) - Indiana, USA - OCT 30, 2014
Draft to taster at The Livery. This is the 2014 vintage, which is 6% and aged in white wine barrels (and should probably be a separate entry). Looks solid; a transparent gold with white head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells mildly tart and bretty with a soft presence from the white wine barrel. Tastes like it smells with a pleasantly tart mouthfeel. Enjoyable. thomashall (999) - New Hope, Minnesota, USA - DEC 12, 2015
Bottle shared by Derek, thanks. Cloudy golden pour. Fruity sour aroma. Taste is dry from barrel I’m guessing. Pretty good.

Growler thanks to cpferris. Pours mostly clear golden with a minimal head. The aroma has a little Brett, with not too much else really to it. The flavor is somewhat Belgian with a small malt presence and some wild/bretty notes. The palate is very light with a mild acidity. Really drinkable and even refreshing. arminjewell (9720) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - DEC 14, 2014
2014 version pour on tap at the brewery, hazy golden pour with thin white head, aroma brought notes of biscuit, white grape, hints of yeast, spice, some earth, touch of grass. Taste is slight tart fruit, white grape, peach, some hints of bread, biscuit, touch of spice, finishing with some oak, dry, slightly tart. punkrkr27 (903) - Berkley, Michigan, USA - JUL 31, 2008
UPDATED: JUL 18, 2011 Tap at the ’08 MBG Summerfest. Clear deep gold pour. Sweet but sour with notes of grass, pepper, and lemon. A little aqueous like a weak saison. Medium body with moderate carbonation. cbfobes (2885) - Quad Cities, Illinois, USA - AUG 31, 2010
On tap at The Livery, pours an orangish color with a nice white head, has some sour fruit notes to it but was nothing to go crazy over. Not a bad brew but nothing too special. Hair6a11 (1481) - Illinois, USA - JUL 23, 2011
UPDATED: JUL 25, 2011 On tap; pour is murky light golden with a very modest head that rings the tulip. There’s hardly anything here; anyway - the nose is perhaps the highlight of this brew. Apple skins, lemon grass, a light funkiness is present. Unfortunately, the flavor profile is muted out of the gate. The apple skins, lemon zest, grassy hops, and very mild barnyard notes are pleasant, but at the end of the day, this brew needs a lot of development to reach another level.
