750ml capped. Aroma of oak, peach pits, and sweet malts. Some sourness. Flavor is a sweet fruit nectar with a hint of tartness. Some barrel aged vinous characteristics. BBB63 (6557) - La Porte, Indiana, USA - AUG 7, 2008
Hazy deep amber hue (not a golden beer) with a small head and minimal lace, some oily tears and fleshy floaties. The aroma has notes of carmel and crystal malts, earthy Belgian yeast, over ripened peach, some vanilla, oak and wine vapours, vinous nose. The taste is the shining moment for this brew, tart peach and grapes over sweet malts with a EXTREMELY dry and woody finish. Very fermented and almost no hint of residual sugar on the palate. You get just a hint of alcohol on the very end but this is a very dangerously drinkable beer. For someone who is not much of a peach person, I am amazed by how much I like this creation. A must try at the Great Taste IMO. Beer5000 (6544) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - FEB 12, 2010

2009, Vatlandsvåg. Dim reddish orange with a thin off-white head. Aroma is fruity and acidic with a Bret profile. Flavor is fruity aromatic, quite mild Bret impression, very refreshing with a funky, dry finish and well hidden alcohol. This is simply good, interesting and fun in a bottle.
750mL Bottle. Thanks Sean! Cold, light sour grilled peach aroma. Amazing sunshine and coppery golden fall color. No head. Flavor kicks heavy with some sugary pale fruit and some strong citric acids and a nice woody back. Nice plain funk, some peachy sweetness, a bit of woody pit and some really nice dryness. Amazing balance. Very refined and clean feeling. A bit of okay butteriness. A very nice beer. Low on the sourness, but very nice otherwise. yngwie (17074) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - APR 5, 2010
Bottle, 75cl, at RBNAG -09. A next to clear, orangey golden beer topped by a small, off-white head. The aroma is intensely sourish and warming in a very nice way. Peaches and white sugar also springs to mind. Dry, acidic flavor with hints of farmhouse, some peaches and even more acid. Medium to full body, warming and pleasantly carbonated. The alochol lasts for a good while, but in a really pleasant way. A really lovely sour ale that I would love to have available at all times. 091107

On tap at GTMW. Poured lighter, translucent coppery-amber with no head. The aroma picked up bushels of juicy peaches with dry oaky notes and peach skins accenting.. sour and engaging. The flavor had sour peach skins on the fore with more juicy fruit behind.. grainy oak and more fruity sourness on the edges.. long, warm, puckeringly-sour finish.. excellent! Dry and sour on the palate with lots of peaches.. near-perfect balance and presentation. valpoaj (744) - Valparaiso, Indiana, USA - AUG 12, 2008
Tap at GTMW ’08. Pours a clear copper...no head to speak of. Aroma is heavy on peach with some good levels of sweet malt, and a bit of a funky note as well. Aroma is nicely mixed between peach flavors and sweet malts, and has a very vinious character with some oak notes and a relatively heavy level of sour funk which elevated this beer from good to very, very good. Very tart finish that really ends with a dry note to keep you coming back. Palate has a good level of carbonation and is pretty heavy...the alcohol is there, but I’d never guess 12%. Very nice offering...probably the best peach flavored beer I’ve had to date xmarcnolanx (939) - Kirkwood, Missouri, USA - AUG 15, 2008
Tap GTMW 2008
Aroma is sour, lactic, dry, and peachy, and funked up.
Taste is sour peach with lots of dryness, a bit grainy.
Tastes great. WeeHeavySD (3387) - Portland, Oregon, USA - AUG 17, 2008
Bomber handbottle from my Mike, hell yeah 3rd Handbottled tonight and I’m starting to feel it. Pours reddish amber with a thin head that faded quickly. Nose is peachy with no hint of booze. Taste is peachy sour, funky and big. This is a crazy, the peach is big the sour is big, the wood from the cask and some of the wine comes through. I can’t taste the 12% but I can sure feel it. Or am I just drunk, either way this is a funky fruit beer, more of a sour if you ask me. JJClark (551) - Roscoe, Illinois, USA - AUG 17, 2008
On tap @ GTMW 2008. Pours a clear copper color with a small white head. Aroma of peaches, oak, and malt. Taste is tart and semi sour. Has a nice funky complex flavor with a pleasent dry character. One of my favorites from the GTMW.
