COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The 2006 IBMA Emerging Artists Of The Year Award winning "Steep Canyon Rangers" are quickly becoming one of the hottest bands on the bluegrass festival and concert circuit. In Sept. of 2005, they became the first national bluegrass band to play in Benton Harbor at their first show at the Livery. Several shows later we have become good friends with these talented guys, and always look forward to when they return to our stage. Pilsener and Munich malts combine with a good dose of Noble hops for a flavorful and hoppy Pilsener beer.

Draft @ The Livery. Pours a hazy, golden-yellow color; white head with glistening, fine-bubbled lacing. Crisp citrus, resiny hops, and a touch of sugar in the aroma. Medium mouthfeel: citrus, toasty grains, juicy hops and residual sweetness. A tasty, very sessionable pils; mostly dry (just a touch sweeter than Poor Freddy’s). Medium finish: toasty grains, mineral bitterness, and sugar.

MBG Winter Fest 2008. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate sour citrus hoppy aroma. Medium body. Medium to heavy bitter flavor with a medium bitter finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met with solid drinkable beer.

UPDATED: APR 28, 2008 On tap at Steve’s Birthday bash (this was actually my first beer of the afternoon): Clean golden hue with a small frothy head and spotty lace. The aroma is grassy, herbal, slightly resiny, apple and pineapple esters, and biscuity as well. The taste has a surprising sharp hoppy bite for the style with fruity undertones. Moderately acidic before a soft grain biscuit finish. The mouth feel is lively and crisp, refreshing and clean, well attenuated. This is a solid Pilsener and very sessionable indeed.
