MBG Winter Fest 2008. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate sour citrus hoppy aroma. Medium body. Medium to heavy bitter flavor with a medium bitter finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met with solid drinkable beer. crossovert (13413) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 4, 2012
Some good attributes but it fails in the flavor department unfortunately. Okay for a us attempt but too much diacetyl. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - AUG 6, 2008
(Draught) Pours a hazy golden amber body with a small white head. Aroma of nuts, earthiness, light lemon, and wheat. Flavor of rye, toasted grain, cereal, and caramel malt. shrubber85 (11506) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - OCT 10, 2011
Tap. Funky citrus barley malt and light hay aroma. Hazy golden yellow color with small head. Basement, barley malt and moderately bitter dry grass flavor. Excellent. TheAlum (7164) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - JUN 26, 2009
Pours a nice full hazy amber, small white head that clings. Aromas are faint maltiness, spice. Nothing much. Initial shows a nice light body, crisp slight pilsner malt, honey sweetness, light bitterness on the backend balances and makes this a great quenching lager. Very yummy, as the malt is flavorful, but light and hops make themselves known in the finish lightly. A good sessioner.

UPDATED: APR 28, 2008 On tap at Steve’s Birthday bash (this was actually my first beer of the afternoon): Clean golden hue with a small frothy head and spotty lace. The aroma is grassy, herbal, slightly resiny, apple and pineapple esters, and biscuity as well. The taste has a surprising sharp hoppy bite for the style with fruity undertones. Moderately acidic before a soft grain biscuit finish. The mouth feel is lively and crisp, refreshing and clean, well attenuated. This is a solid Pilsener and very sessionable indeed. nuplastikk (6360) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 21, 2013
Pint at Dexters. Hazy yellow-orange, thin steady oily head. A little butter in the aroma lets you know how this is going to be a sub par lager. Tastes odd. Decent ingredients, more than average hoppitude, but the off sour buttery tones kill it. Really gets worse the more you sip. Amateur hour PIls, wast of money. Noble hop overload can’t rescue it from the putrid, rancid tones. Thorpe429 (5035) - , Illinois, USA - SEP 24, 2012
A bit too fruity with some ale qualities. Dry and crisp with light noble hop character. Easy to drink. CanIHave4Beers (4194) - Pouring Bus, Iowa, USA - AUG 2, 2010
Pours a hazy blonde with a good head and good lace. The aroma is bready with some good complimentary herbal and grassy hops. The flavor is a nice dry malty dominated beer with plenty of good herbal hop balance with just a perfect amount of bitterness. Quite good. beastiefan2k (4033) - HdG (past: NYC, KS, Rain City), Maryland, USA - MAY 26, 2014
Sampler at the brewpub. Hazy gold color. Again, some light sulfur character with lemon pledge hops. Not bad but not crisp at all. A bit of a husky malt character in the flavor. A bit more lemon pledge, metal, and sulfur in the aftertaste.
