Juks (1463) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - MAR 16, 2018
Tap. Clear amber colour, small white head stays nicely. Aroma is bit earthy, slightly hoppy, citrussy, lemongrass. Taste is kinda dry, bit yeasty, herbal, citrussy, bready, slightly tart. Rye in aftertaste. Medium bodied, over average carbonation. Very refreshing, easily drinkable brew.

bottle at home courtesy of my secret santa - cheers Jinroh!
quite dry, spicy, low bitterness more a brown ale than anything else - whatever hops were used they're low in the mix. Not a massive fan of rye in beers and this does nothing to change my mind. Unoffensive yet a little dull.

Alengrin (6180) - BELGIUM - JAN 26, 2018
Draught at Kantien in Ghent, shared by Goedele. An Estonian rye saison hopped with - now - classic New World hops. Tightly membrane-lacing, egg-white, medium sized, more or less stable head over an equally cloudy, deep orangey amberish beer with ochre brownish hue. Not very strong or convinving aroma: a whiff of rotten cabbage interrupts a more attractive play of peach, cooked carrots, soggy rye bread, orange peel, tomato concentrate, wet heay, damp tree leaves, apple peel. Sweetish onset, hinting at peach and pineapple with a light olive-like touch somewhere, sourish undertone, sharp and minerally carbonation. Bready, tad nutty malt body with indeed that soft, near-spicy effect of rye bread but lightly so; spicy, orange peel-ish hoppiness in the finish, but fighting against that unpleasant rotting cabbage aspect returning retronasally. Earthy, bit 'dirty' yeastiness as well, but fortunately the freshness brought by the orange effect from the Cascade survives this. Not a bad idea in itself, combining rye and American hops in a saison concept, but in order to fully qualify as one (to me at least - but to each his own in this particular 'style'), I expect a lot more dryness, 'rural' and hayish qualities and crispness. Drinkable, but the rotting cabbage aspect became difficult to ignore in the end, as the beer warmed up... Not Öllenaut's biggest achievement so far, I'm afraid.

matstrange (288) - Kent, ENGLAND - NOV 29, 2017
Bottle from beer52 beer subscription. Long lasting creamy head on a very thick hazy beer. Minimal aroma, and slightly sour. Has a grainy aftertaste which is pleasant but not refreshing.

joergen (30190) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - NOV 25, 2017
Draught at Skaal. Hazy orange colored with a medium sized off-white head. Fruity aroma of hops and spices with notes of citrus. Fruity flavor of hops, spices and citrus. Hoppy finish.

Salian (235) - Sale, Cheshire, ENGLAND - OCT 7, 2017
Honeycomb colour with an off white head, floral, a little soapy but the low carbonation is pleasant. Slight dryness to the finish.

berkshirejohn (6886) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - OCT 3, 2017
33cl bottle from Beer52. A bright amber pour with a tight cream head; grainy aroma; light rye bread taste, slightly sour, with a sweeter finish with a hint of honey. Very drinkable.

kustie (1456) - Tampere, FINLAND - SEP 9, 2017
Bottle. Hazy golden color with off-white head. Aroma has yeast, rye, fruits and funky elements. Taste is malty with quite long aftertaste. Flavors of citrus, malt, rye, banana.

Jultsu (1365) - Gromnik, POLAND - AUG 6, 2017
BBE 10/07/2018. Kuparinen samea väri, iso supernopea vaahto. Tuoksussa ruista, raikkautta, suutuntuma rukiinen, leipäisä, kvassinen, hapan, raikkaan janojuomaisa, ei vetinen. Ihan kiva.

Cokemonkey11 (1187) - - AUG 5, 2017
Bottle. Pours pale amber without much foam. Scent is light but interesting apple cider properties. Taste is apple saison and quite soft. Dry herbal finish and some bitterness. Very good.
