Pint on tap at Wheatsheaf, Thebarton. It’s a classic golden amber beer with a thin white head. The occasional bubble makes its’ lazy trek up the glass. Grainy nose. Bitterness is quite harsh at first taste but mellows. Medium body, smooth texture. Finish is grain with a malt background. Straight-forward Pils, nothing special. Bottle from Plonk (March 2015). Cloudy amber, 2cm white head, clean, crisp, grainy, bready/toasty, subtle citrus bitterness, dry finish. Quite nice. KeefOz (1823) - Tarragindi, AUSTRALIA - SEP 11, 2014
Tasted 30/8/2014. Draught at The Wheatsheaf Hotel, Thebarton, Adelaide. Poured a clear golden amber with a few millimetres of white bubbles that diminished to a collar. Laced OK. Carbonation very low. Aroma subtly of malt. Taste subtly of malt, subtle bitterness, and possibly lemon citrus. Light body. Dry finish with a bit of lemon citrus and with a subtle lingering bitterness. OK. floydian1 (1454) - FNQ, Australia, - MAY 9, 2014
330ml bottle. Clear straw yellow pour with small but persistent white head. Sweet honey malt grains on the nose with a touch of lemony citrus. Taste is too sweet to be a genuine Bohemian Pilsner lacking the dry hop bitterness I associate with this style.

330 ML bottle
Bottled August 2012
Golden straw color, bright white head, some streaky lacing.
Nose is of toasted bread and grassy, citrus hops. Pretty simple really.
Taste is pretty similar to the above. More hop bite in front and back than what expected. Pretty much bread followed by some grassy and citrus hops. or the other way around in the back. Clean and crisp. Good carbonation and body to this. Not really exciting ut a decently made beer.

From a 330ml bottle on 20/2/2012 (Batch No. BP020, bottled Dec 2011). Pours a slightly cloudy light golden with a biggish head. Has a moderate grassy, fruity, slightly floral aroma. Flavour wise, it has a lovely fruity flavour (green apple and apricot), a dash of doughy yeast, and a nice sharp hop finish. This is a very good, tasty pilsener, and I’m surprised by the modest scores it’s received on here so far. Not sure why its called ’Philsner’. mickmac (485) - Ngunnawal, AUSTRALIA - NOV 11, 2011
Bottle. Slightly hazy gold body with a large persistent white head. Taste aroma- slightly herbal, honey with a subtle bitter finish. Highly carbonated. mkel07 (5847) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - JUL 30, 2011
330ml bottle. A good solid amber colour with an even level layer of white foam. Strong to moderate hop aroma and a good strong body with mild bitterness that leads to a dryness on the palate. Sweet malty flavour. Jessop (207) - AUSTRALIA - APR 27, 2011
Drank on tap at the brewhouse. Poured nice honey gondenrod with little to no head with mild carbonation. The beer produced a pleasant and refreshing floral hop notes with an underlying herbal aroma. Whilst unremarkable it was pleasent to drink on a warm Autumnal afternoon.
