3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, 10C. Gold with a large white head that fades to a good coat and laces pretty well. Aroma of sweet oranges, dough, gentle spices. Pretty sweet with orange, peach and candi sugar; bitterness and spices - cloves, white pepper - creep up. Rich and boozy, although there’s no rawness to the alcohol. Lowish carbonation - a bit more would have been welcome. Drying finish is very tidy. Classy brew that’s a bit unrealistically priced (at least in the bottle).

On tap at lobethal
Golden straw color, thin white collar that when warmed got to one finger head on swirling. Small carbonation beads.
Apple, pear, banana nose quite malty. Hides the alcohol well.
Follows nose but more fruity. Dry oak finish. Lacks carbonation but quite nice.

Slightly hazy, golden colour. White head, dissipates quickly. slightly fruity aroma with an almost oaky touch. quite bitter with fruit touches. Its different, particularly for this style; but nice.
