pintbypint (3641) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - OCT 31, 2005
500ml brown bottle. Red-brown pour, head was small but creamy, off white in colour. Orange and blood red highlights. Aroma of roasted and choclate malt, fairly light overall. Flavour is malty, some roasted malt, some coffee. Soft bitterness, slightly grainy finish. Body is light and smooth, gentle carbonation.

3.3
pivnizub (10624) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - SEP 28, 2005
Bottle: Pours clear reddish brown; big off-white head, lacing&lasting; shy sweetish malty nose, a bit vinous; mild milk-chocolatey and nutty taste; shorter fruity, malty and only slightly bitter (cacao) finish; very soft, tasty and well-rounded; a good and pleasant Dunkel !

2.8
Hooker (467) - Coquitlam, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 14, 2005
Clear dark copper almost brown colour with thin tan head. Sweet toffee carmel malt nose. Bitter sweet carmel taste with mild honey finish.

3.2
Trev (2023) - Lakeville, Minnesota, USA - SEP 4, 2005
From the bottle: Pours a dark opaque brownish red with a medium off white bubbly head that thins quickly. Aroma is roasty malt and nutty, coffeeish bitterness. Black cherry. Flavour is quite nutty, malty. Smooth but tasty. A little thin through the finish. I just had a ’Demon’ before this and I’d be interested in trying some of the other Lobkowicz brews. Quality beers. Very drinkable.

MartinT (9880) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 7, 2005
On tap in Vrchlabi:

The Lure:
Fine cherries and roasted chocolate invite the dessert lover. Licorice increases the sweetness’s complexity, and the stouty foam sure is appealing.

The Festivities:
Candy sweetness and chocolate-covered berries make this richer than most tmavé offerings. Smooth body, unidimensionally sweet, but very good for what it is attempting to do.

Transcendence:
Low-fat black forest cake.

2.7
paco (576) - Regina, Saskatchewan, CANADA - AUG 3, 2005
Bottle: Dark brown colour, almost black. No head to speak of. Sweet creamy chocolate flavour with hints of caramel. Warming alcohol finish. Soft mouthfeel, easy drinking.

ogivlado (7839) - Zagreb, CROATIA - JUL 14, 2005
UPDATED: JAN 24, 2007 Bottled(500ml). -deep amber coloured, small pale beige head, toasted malty nose. Malty caramel aroma with notes of toffee and nuts. Also mild coffee notes in the background.
Bottled(330ml). -I’ve tried this beer before three years, but just now realised that I’ve rated wrong beer, Barrandov instead of Baron, now is too late that I remember anything about this beer so I’m going to leave my old rating until I taste it again, demon is much better beer than this. 6-3-6-3-13

3.2
turbo (1271) - Arizona, USA - JUL 10, 2005
Bottle poured dark brown with no head Aroma and flavor of sweet malt, chocolate, raisins and dark fruit. Good creamy sweet finish.

2.3
theacelatrain (262) - Washington DC, USA - JUN 29, 2005
Bottle. Smells nice, of caramel, nuts, and malts, but tastes clash strangely: syrupy sweet at first but fizzy and alcoholic at the end.
