Drank out of hefeweizen a glass Aroma: molasses, wood Appearance: perfect amount of head but doesn’t linger for long, dark reddish brown colour Taste: sweet molasses, definitely not a session beer but one tasted really nice. A lot nicer than I expected Palate: kind of thin but just the right amount of carbonation Overall: this beer surprised me, dark lager doesn’t describe it well

Bottle. Medium, beige head. Aroma at the beginning is mostly metalic, but later dark malts and some plums. Low carbonation. In taste sweet, friuty but too much watery.

Bottled (backlog, thanks Kim N!). Dark amber to copper colour with a small off-white fluffy head. Aroma is caramel malts, mild chocolate and a bunch of ripe sweet fruitiness and some mild toast. Flavour is toasted malts, some ripe sweet fruitiness along with some chocolate and mild caramelly and syrupy notes. Bodied, and not overly sweet.

Rating #1012 - March 1st, 2014 - Bottle from Coop - 4.7% - bought this because some guy orders 4 cases from me routinely - had to give it a whirl. Very dark pour with a weak tan head that is frothy, but fades quickly. Aroma is roasted malts, molasses. Taste is mild coffee, chocolate, and molasses. Finish is quite smooth, this beer is quite enjoyable for a light, roasty lager.

caramel, bread, grass, raisin, red, brown, clear, minimal head, tan foam, medium sweetness, lightly bitter, lightly sour, light body, slick feel, soft carbonation, bitter Dark ruby pour with tan head. Foam disappears quickly. Biscuity sweet aroma with light grassy hop. Caramel sweet with hints of sourness. No real bitterness. Carbonation is very light. Thin, watery body with a slick mouthfeel. Finish is quite sweet with no bitter aftertaste. A very nice beer if you’re not expecting bitterness. I like it.

kapusil (1432) - Budapest, HUNGARY - JUN 29, 2013
0.5l bottle. Dark brown/ruby body, light brown head. Plums, reisins and a hint of roasted malts in the aroma with maybe some caramel. Taste of caramel, dark fruits, minimal roastyness and little bit of floral hops. More like a dunkel for me than a schwarzbier, but I like it.
