UPDATED: JAN 3, 2016 Brown beer with a nice head. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, roasted malts and light alcohol. Flavor has a lot of chocolate, roasted malts, is pretty sweet and a bit vineous. It all ends in only a light bitterness. Medium thickless, but nicely soft. Similar to a schwartzbier!

pours clear dark brown. Thick light brown head low retention. Very sweet malty aroma with notes of candy and dark fruits. Nice flavour. Malty and rich with a distinct flavour of Vienna malt. Suprisingly complex. This is a great dunkle.

Glowing brown/ruby color with a medium sized off-white head. The aroma and flavor had some roasted grain, sweet malt, caramel, and slight smokiness. The feel was a little watery.

Meh. Dark brown pour with a thin beige head. Fruity sweet flavour with some syrupy chocolate flavours.

500 ml bottle. Sweet chocolate and coffee aroma. Dark brown colour with an off white head. Roasted coffee, nutty and dark chocolate flavours. Medium bodied with a malty finish. A pleasant brew.

Bottiglia.

on tap version Pours deep cherry red or dark ruby reddish. Brown, creamy, frothy and ... fast foam. Aroma of green apples or unripe fruits, maybe rhubarb. Not so many maltiness in taste, more that green fruits. Not sweet, not bitter - average nothing. A bit floury finish. No more.

Nice one. Golden color. It’s hoppy and yeasty with well balanced carbonation. It’s preety drinkable.

Choos (754) - Taylors Hill, AUSTRALIA - NOV 1, 2004
Aroma: malt, some chocolate and some light fruit vinous. Appearance: dark brown to red with a decent head, some suddsy lacing. Flavour: dark brown sugars some light spicy hop notes and some of the vinous complexity hinted at in the aroma. Palate: thin but easy drinking due to being lightly carbonated.

Deep reddish- brown with sweet malty aromas with notes of toffee and dark fruit. Substantial blend of roasted malts with hints of cocoa and coffee. Starts with a silky sweet texture then dries nicely in the end. A great beer to have with dessert. Worth getting again.
