Dark brown body with decent tan head. Aroma is mild, sweet, caramel malty. Taste is medium sweet, quite caramel, with just a bit of spice. Medium body with just a hint of stickiness. Pleasant beer.

Lubiere (13915) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 29, 2006
Dark reddish brown with a thin off white head. Sweet doughy malt aroma, with notes of caramel. Sweet malt in mouth, with light caramel, and light burned coffee notes. A bit oxidized. Medium bodied, with some light metallic alcohol in finish. Nuttyness develops as beer warms up. BB 9-9-05. Trade from Piscator in Spring 2005.

Milk chocolate aroma ("koetjesrepen") with malt. Slightly roasted flavor. Hint of banana. Sweetish, creamy with a chocolate aftertaste. Fine dunkel, clean and tasty.

Had this at a random biergarten in Prague, both this and the helles tastes slightly like watermelon, i think it was a bad tap line but it ended up working well.

Bottle, bought @ Gallerie Piva, Prague.
Pours deep brown with a small, creamy, off-white film head. Aroma is sweet, lots of caramel with some light roasted notes. Medium carbonation, fine, dry, mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet - a bit too much, even. Caramel at first, some sugary notes and then a good, dry, chocolate, hoppy finish. It is very sad that there is that initial overly sweet sugary note - otherwise, it would have been great.

As Lobkowicz Urböhmisches Schwarzbier. Dark brown beer with a strong head. The aroma is malty and roasted, and the flavour is very malty, bitter and roasted with a slight vinous edge. Overall a reasonable roasted and heavily malty beer.

500 ml bottle. Finland.
Dark reddish brown colour with small to average size tan head. Toasted malt, grain, caramel, mild butter (diacetyl) and mild hoppiness in aroma. Flavour is sweet caramel malt and buttery diacetyl with some mild dry hoppy kick. Slightly too sweet for me.

Bottle. Light caramel/chocolate malt aroma. Dark brown color with moderate head. Sweet chocolate-caramel malt and light grass flavor with a hint of smokiness in the finish. Nice body. Surprisingly good especially for a beer I found in a discount grocery store.

DocLock (10706) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 27, 2005
Pours burny sienna with small off-white head. Aroma of brown sugar, caramel malt, cabernet, almonds. Tastes malty, with some chocoff, fruit, and a slight rauchy, maple syrupy finish.
