Bottle: Pours clear reddish brown; big off-white head, lacing&lasting; shy sweetish malty nose, a bit vinous; mild milk-chocolatey and nutty taste; shorter fruity, malty and only slightly bitter (cacao) finish; very soft, tasty and well-rounded; a good and pleasant Dunkel ! DuffMan (10435) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - MAR 13, 2006
Mahogany brown, tall beige head, moderate lace. Sweet caramel aroma, with a little spice. Caramel malt flavour predominates, a little chocolate, and a fruity ester makes its way into the palate every now and then. Smooth, medium bodied for a lighter alcohol style, and with good balance. Very nice. gnoff (10426) - Mölndal, SWEDEN - JUN 16, 2009

Draught at Klasterni Senk on June 2, 2011
Clear amber color with copper streaks, white head. Malty, herbal, fresh, slight butterscotch taste. Moussy mouthfeel, medium bitterness. Sweet malty scent.
Bottle from Premier in Halifax. Dark brown body, with a good sized beige head. (3+) Sweet malt aroma with notes of toasted nutty malt. (6+) Flavour starts with a wave of nutty chocolate up front giving way to a dry toasty malt finish. Light metalic hints in the finish/aftertaste. Palate is on the light side but is smooth. Lacks overall depth but was a pleasant surprise for its quaffability!

Fine cherries and roasted chocolate invite the dessert lover. Licorice increases the sweetness’s complexity, and the stouty foam sure is appealing.
Candy sweetness and chocolate-covered berries make this richer than most tmavé offerings. Smooth body, unidimensionally sweet, but very good for what it is attempting to do.
Low-fat black forest cake.
Bottle. High creamy and lasting off-white head. Very dark red brown body. Mild and sweet roasted malt caramel nut aroma and flvor with low carbonation and a long sweet aftertaste. Quack-Duck (9484) - Down South, GERMANY - MAY 28, 2007
