COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Lobo is the native wold of Texas and the Southwest. It was almost wiped out by big ranchers about 100 years ago, like small craft breweries were almost wiped out by Prohibition. Both are coming back! Lobo is from a recipe that dates to 1910. It is made with the four classic ingredients: barley, American hops, yeast, and pure Texas Hill Country water. It is a celebration of beer the way it was made 100 years ago.

On tap (also I think a bottle as an extra from angrypirate06?). Pours with a crystal clear pale hue with a white head that leaves great lace. Aromas are very sweet and very estery for a lager. Grainy. Oddly fruity. Flavors are toasty, grainy, medium-low malt, a touch of hops. Again, extremely estery for a lager. Lively carbonation, dry finish.

Sample at GABF 2016.. Low fluffy quiickly disappearing white head. Clear yellow golden body. Slightly acidic straw aroma. Weak straw grass flavor with little hops bitterness, low carbonation and a short finish.

Pours a clear yellow golden color with white head. Cereal grains mostly on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes pretty crisp and clean. Decent lager, nothing too fancy, but very light and drinkable.

Pretty wimpy, grassy with notes of apple on the nose. Clear, straw colored with a coarse white head. Taste was thin, watery, slight levels of adjunct tasting malt, some mild hop bitterness. Not much here.

Not bad. Pretty refreshing lager. To me its more a light American lager with better flavor. Nothing too crazy but a lot better than the other lagers out there. Grassy, sort of sweet flavor. Aroma is kind of sweet and grassy.

Out of the bottle because why not. For a macro style lager this wasn't bad. Decently crisp lager. Not anything to run out but if it's at a BBQ go nuts. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

For an unappealing style, this was a good beer. Your standard macro lager doesnt come close. Decent aroma of light malts with a tinge of hops. Clear golden color with fizzy white head. Light weight palate and crisp finish. Hops are detected up front with a straw and slightly spicy finish. A little sweetness as well. Easy to drink with food.

Bottle. I must say, when it comes to pale lagers this one is o.k. Crisp and easy drinking. Im not a big fan of the style but I would drink this one again.

Bottle courtesy of Bman1113VR (thanks Andrew) poured a clear yellow with a lasting white head. Aromas of bread, straw and light earthiness. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of bread and light straw with a crisp dry finish.
