500, capped. Pours a cloudy medium amber with a loose white film. Mild dry nutty, bread-crusty nose. Creamy medium body with soft carb. Nutty dry mid palate with a long dry finish. Very arid beer. Driest bock in memory for me. Almost champagne-like.
Light amber color with a diminishing off-white head. Bits of grain, toasted malt and hints of over-ripe fruit. Pure malt goodness. Melanoidins rejoice. Big malt, light caramel, toasted hearty breads and just a bit of floral hops.3/13

Sent to me by Strykzone. Pours hazy, no make that murky, orange-brown-gold with a white head. Nose is bread and citrus. Body is between medium and full, and there is a spicy mouth feel. The flavor is bread with a good dose of overripe fruit, some citrus and spice. The finish is earthy and shows citrus. Very tasty beer and quite enjoyable. Pint bottle poured at 58.8F into a Recess Oktoberfest dimpled mug. A big beige head of shaving cream consistency. The beer is orange brown and cloudy. The aroma is full of fruit and bread and is almost fruit cake. The flavor begins with complex fruit and some sourness. One balance here is between sweetness, sourness, and dryness. All are tasted. A little spice, light grapefruit bitterness, and earth. Dark fruit comes late. This is good stuff and more than enough complexity to make it fun to drink. weihenweizen (3731) - Charleston Area, West Virginia, USA - JAN 14, 2016
Refrigerated 0.5 L brown bottle poured into a glass. Cloudy light orange with little head. Aroma is caramel malt, medium/light body, lower carbonation, and very little lacing. Taste is caramel and some herbal hops. TorbenJensen (1517) - Valby, DENMARK - SEP 12, 2015
Voku Hila is a bock brewed in the United States. It has a beautiful white and firm persistent foam. The aroma is like bread, fresh grains, spices and perhaps something similar to corn. The taste is fresh and rich. Light caramel notes mingle with its light malty flavor of fresh grain. It’s carbonated soft and comfortable, so its many flavors really get room to roam. It is not quite as sweet as bocks otherwise well may be, but it does not destroy its type correctness in any way. The hops are in fine balance with the malt and thereby the precise as a light bock should be. United in flavor, high in flavor, soft in the richness and all in all a wonderful bock,

500 ml bottle poured into lager glass. No bottle dating found.
Pours lightly hazy, amber-orange in color, with a good bit of visible carbonation. The body is topped by a moderate size, dense off-white head with good retention. Some streaks and spots of stickly lacing clings to the glass.
Aroma: grassy, herbal and lightly earthy hops mix with some yeasty aromatics. Hints of apple juice and baked bread.
Taste: towards the bold end of the spectrum for style. Aromas carry over to the flavor to which some honey and light pepper are added. Mild bitterness even on the finish More malt than the aroma reveals.
Feel: Medium carbonation and body; Smooth, with a somewhat crisp finish.
Overall: a good, relatively robust and earthy, maibock. tnkw01 (1753) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - JUL 24, 2015
Bottle. Dark, clear, gold in color with a medium head. Aroma is bread and grains. Taste is well balanced with a malty sweetness up front and a slightly bitter finish. onceblind (9397) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JUN 13, 2015
Clear brilliant deep golden with a persistent white head. Rich nose of Germain malt and lagery toast, and a fair bit of old world hop spiciness, nearly herbal bitterness. Robust and very full flavor with a big helles bock flavor, golden toast, Germain biscuit, gentle German hoppy biscuitiness and maybe a little touch of honey before an herbal bitterness dries it out. Very full and packed with stylistic flavor. johnnymusky (983) - Minnesota, USA - APR 13, 2015
