On cask at the sraf. Golden with a thin head. Orange and light herb on the nose. Confirmed on the taste and with good maltiness. Seems bitter initially but good persistent finish. flying_pig (1571) - SCOTLAND - MAY 11, 2015
500ml bottle from Oak Tree Inn Shop, Balmaha, Scotland (£2.99):downender (8659) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - MAR 9, 2015
This definitely started well & I was really enjoying the sweetness on the nose early on but sadly this wasn’t carried through to the flavour & the earthy malts & bitterness seemed to take more of a front seat. The biggest disappointment was the fact that the beer almost seemed watery in places as well as being a touch bland before the background fruits appeared right at the end but these could have been stronger & the beer would have a better one for it.
Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 3/3/2015. Deep copper in colour, with a frothy, off-white, head. Sweet, husky, malts, some hedgerow fruits, toffee and a lingering bitter finish. Elements didn’t come together. Stuu666 (13395) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - NOV 16, 2014
