Aroma nach Kaffee, Schokolade und Tabak. Geschmack erdig und nach kalten Rauch. Leider nicht so ganz rund, der Nachgeschmack ist ein bisschen angebrannt.

Sehr schwarz. Geruch rstig, nach Schokolade. Wssrig, mit einem leichten Hauch von Rst und ein ganz bisschen Rauch. Leicht bitter am Ende. Ein Stout, von dem man auch mehr als eines trinken knnte.

4oz pour at Maxs pours a muddy brown/black with some creamy, beige head. Nose has nuts, malt, molasses, nougat, a little dark chocolate. Flavor is chewy with malt and bread, toast, chocolate, light coffee. Dry finish. Solid.

Bottle, 500 ml at the Clachan, Dornie. Pours black with medium beige head. Roasted malts, coffee. Moderate sweetness with medium bitter finish. Medium bodied and soft carbonation. Balanced. So far the best one from Loch Ness.

[ As Loch Ness Dark Ness ].
Clear dark black brown color with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, dark roasted, wood notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, roasted, malt bitter, dark roasted. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20141009]
