I agree with my friend TheGodfather. Nice bottle. Not much of an offering, a faint, sweet bready malt with a light indistinguishable hopping in nose and taste. Another fizzy yellow lager.nearbeer (5561) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - SEP 10, 2010

33 cl swing-top, bb 03 Jan 2011. Nose of toasted oak, light smoke and green banana. Color of iced-tea with a lasting ring of creamy bubbles. Tastes of toasted oak and pecan on the front, turning slowly to show some vanilla, caramel, and hints of banana. Nice aftertaste of toasted oak and dry grass make for a balanced finish. Light-medium body is slightly tingly and astringent. Seems like a pretty average lager underneath, but it gets a really nice flavor boost from the oak aging. Bottle. Pours a copper orange body with a thin white lacing that quickly dissipates to nothing. Cider aroma, apple and light oak. Chewy malt, and grain husk, light oak and some sweet esters. Light moth character, eh not so good. duff (5484) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - NOV 4, 2006
Bottle. Mine was deep amber, as opposed to pale gold as others mention here. Sweet bready malt characters, and light grassy hops. Felt a touch stale in the mouthfeel, slightly cardboardy or something. heemer77 (5360) - Urbandale, Iowa, USA - APR 3, 2007
Bottle purchased at Sam’s in Chicago. The body is a slightly hazy dark gold with a large bubbled and light tan colored head. Gingerbread cookies dominate the nose with some hints of carrots cooked in brown sugar. Surprisingly sweet smelling for the style. The taste has some light notes of ginger along with apples. There is just a hint of cucumber in the finish. Interesting and refreshing. The label says that this is unfiltered and I think that helps to give this some actual character in a style dominated by vegetable tasting or bland beers.

Floral and malty beer, with a fresh taste of caramel, aroma hop and herbs. Good. thebeertourist (5189) - Oslo, NORWAY - FEB 22, 2008
Bottle.Hazy golden with a small head. Grassy hop aroma blending with wood and malts. Malty and grassy flavours. A bit grainy texture. Not bad. Geiserich (4577) - Linz, AUSTRIA - JAN 3, 2016
Bottle from Brauerei Hofstetten: Dark yellow to orange color, white head. Aroma is wood, barrel, some grain. Flavor is also malty, wood and barrel notes. Quite good. tkrjukoff (4335) - SWEDEN - MAY 9, 2011
Pours cloudy amber with a nice thick & creamy head leaving nice lace. Aroma is malty, bready, yeast, spicy, floral and hoppy. Flavor is a bit yeasty, like dark sour dough bread, malty and sweet. Quite nice indeed. Medium sweet malty palate. Finish is not distinguished but pleasant bitter. mile (4032) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUL 4, 2015
Bottle. Dark golden, cloudy, average to large and mostly lasting head. Moderate, malty and sweetish aroma, some caramel and light toffee with some floral/perfume like fruitiness. Body is medium, malty and sweetish flavor, some caramel and with some floral/perfume like fruitiness. Finish is average, malty and sweetish, light - some caramel and with some floral/perfume like fruitiness. Caramel sweetish vienna with weird perfume like fruitiness. Nice head though.
