Bottle, 5.2%. Good malty aroma, slightly farty, though. Dark brown colour, some small bits floating around. The flavour starts off nicely malty with a good mouthfeel. Gets a bit drier after a while, but still tastes OK. I would have liked it a bit sweeter. RexTalionis (3825) - FINLAND - MAY 29, 2011
Swing-top bottle 33 cl from Drinks of the world, Basel. Poured hazy bronze in colour with whitish head. Yeast and some sweet malty tones in aroma. Flavour slightly sweet fruity and light malty. A bit thin. 17Beer (447) - Connecticut, USA - JUL 19, 2014
33 cl in a tall schooner. Malty and slightly sweet aroma with a slightly astringent note. Pours a carmel brown, slightly cloudy with a thin quickly dissipating tan head. Nice lacing. Taste has medium sweetness, with a slight bitter bite, citrus, nutty and complex. Medium body, slick feel, slightly fizzy, astringent finish. Nice beer. Bottle from Brauerei Hofstetten: Dark yellow to orange color, white head. Aroma is wood, barrel, some grain. Flavor is also malty, wood and barrel notes. Quite good. mkobes (2142) - paramus, New Jersey, USA - AUG 21, 2007
Bottle. Dark hazy golden in color with a nice fluffy off white head. Malty bready and woody aroma. Caramel oak notes. Hoppy citrusy malty flavor. Yeasty. Light bitter finish. Medium bodied. Average beer. Ok. Nickls (2616) - Alexandria, Virginia, USA - JUL 2, 2010
(Old BA rate - bottle) Pours a mostly clear dirty blonde color that nears on brown at points; half-finger of pure white head that doesn’t last very long, but has some residual lacing.
Light earthy hop bitterness in the aroma; very lagery in the aroma and basic, but not bad. Just nothing really remarkable to note; perhaps some faint malt sweetness. Flavor is a bit spiced to me, but very muted overall. Earthy and a touch bready. Some herbal hop bitterness. Actually not a bad tasting brew, especially given the style category. Thinner MF, and a bit slick. Softer carbonation. Just OK drinking, not too interesting, but nothing off either. Certainly above average for the norm in the range and especially for Switzerland.

Bright amber yellow color is hazy. Pure white foam sticks to the glass. The aroma contains a doughy grassy malt. This brew is crisp and medium bodied. There is a mild sweetness of malt on the tongue that lingers. THis beer is pretty good overall. It’s refreshing.
