Clear, amber body with almost no head, just a ring of white bubbles around the edge. The aroma is boring and bland, some grains, light honey sweetness, some odd fruitiness of lemon and a touch of something like wheat bread. The body is thin and lackluster. The flavor is sweet with just a hint of bitterness. The oak character is conspicuously absent, which isnt really a problem here. The elements of DMS (corn) are just too strong here, and really takes away from this one. If it was a little cleaner, this could be pretty nice. As it stands, its probably not worth another visit.

(33cl swing top bottle) Hazy, light-amber colour with a medium-sized, slightly off-white foamy head. Sweet and yeasty cara-malty nose with subtle fruity notes and a touch of marzipan. Sweet flavour, almost medium bodied. Cara-malty, slightly nutty taste; sweetish and light acidic malty finish (17.10.07).

Bottle, thanks Allen. Hazy amber, low head. Rather metallic rusty aroma. Roasted malt, light grain, metallic hops, indeed it tates like a barrel - from the outside. Very nice mellow prickly mouthfeel, medium to light body. Light phenolic retronasal.

Bottle @ home, gift from my uncle Ino. Clear orange to amber color, small off-white head that diminishes almost instantly. Smell and taste malts, sweetish, lightly sweet red and dark fruits. Average body, decent carbonation. Ok beer.
