Pours chestnut, quite clear and with just a hint of foam. Nose has some burnt sugar and a bit of nail polish. Burnt rye and bitter caramel. Taste is also sweetish, caramel and burnt sugar dominate - while I am still getting this weird hint of nail polish (which is not that bad but still slightly disturbing) and then this burnt rye character that is quite nice. UPDATED: APR 22, 2015 Tap at Bakushu Club Popeye, Tokyo. Dark brown/ruby shade. Thin head. Aroma is cherry, chocolate, cola, smoke, burnt marshmallow. 로코비어 브루-제너럴 윈더 시즈널 7% ABV 코끝에 닿는 약한 알콜 기운, 제법 질량감 있게 빨려나오는 짙은 고동색 텍스트. 약한탄산, 재빨리 사라지는 헤드. 맥아의 단맛이 잔잔히 펼쳐지는 편안한 윈터시즈널 하루종일 부슬부슬 비내리는 으스스한 봄날 유통기한 보름 남은 윈터 시즈널 따는 기분도 나쁘진 않다. 여성분들이 운영하시는 치바현 사쿠라시 소재 브루어리. 봄이라 그런지 몸이 근질근질한게 쑤시거나 할퀴어대는 맥주가 땡기는 군요.

Bottle from Asahiya, 7% served in a snifter it pours a dark inky black with a slight beige head that disappears quickly leaving a delicate ring clinging to the sides of the glass. It has a rich meaty aroma of chocolate & tangy dark fruits. The body is a bit on the thin side but the mouthfeel is nice enough. The taste is pretty good, dark chocolate, some tart berry flavors & a roasty chocolate finish. Pretty nice, it reminds me of my own Cranberry Christmas Porter...

Aroma is pronounced maple syrup, yeast, milk, amber malts and malted barley syrup. Dark magenta appearance with a brown tint. Bottle from Asahiya. Sweet spicy roast malt nose, cola, and some dark dried fruit. Medium translucent brown color. Thick malty initial with raisin and dark sugar / finish is light and sort of balanced. Medium body, slick and a little oily. Smooth well balanced, treacle like old ale. Some vanilla, treacle, caramel. Not overly exciting, but punches above 7%.
