Cask conditioned at The Rose & Crown, Charlbury, Oxon. Orange amber with white head. This was quite a light beer with a slightly aromatic, flowery character. Hints of citrus but a little over thin to really show off the hop. Dry and bitter finish, it doesn’t really get going for me. wheresthepath (2351) - Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - FEB 17, 2013
[Cask at the Falcon, High Wycombe] Light amber with a moderate white head. Mild creamy caramel is the order of the day here. There’s a light floral hint in the finish, but really it’s pretty bland and disappointing from a brewery that’s normally reasoanably decent. fonefan (49996) - VestJylland, DENMARK - JUN 5, 2008

Cask at GBBF 2006. An orange beer with a rim of beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of caramel, and lesser notes of alcohol and fruit. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel, leading to a dry bitter end with notes of toffee. berkshirejohn (6588) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - JAN 19, 2007
Cask at The Monks’ Retreat (JDW), Reading. Golden with a white head; crisp and refreshing with a grapefruit flavour and some honey; a refreshing bitter aftertaste with more grapefruit. Excellent. chriso (7583) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 20, 2006
Cask (gravity dispense), Reading Beer Festival, April 2006. Attractive bright orange colour - a bit dark for a golden ale. Otherwise, its crisp, fresh and fruity, with plenty of zesty hop character. Rather more aromatic than I expected from Challenger hops. Very pleasant.
