Ruby brown with a very small head that vanishes quick. Aroma is sweet hazelnuts and milk chocolate. Flavor is very creamy and nutty with a chocolate/vanilla tone. A little light bodied and lacks a bit of depth but still a good nut brown. Bigsky66 (148) - Eau Claire, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 3, 2005
Creamy texture and nut flavor. Sweet but is little watery at the end. Doesn’t leave a big aftertaste but the nice vanilla hits will suffice. balke13 (156) - MIssoula, Montana, USA - FEB 27, 2005
Brownish color with a red tint and small off white head. Creamy vanilla hazelnut aroma with a subtle hint of chocolate. Smooth body with a roasted nut flavor but quite watery and lacking. JoeM500 (1908) - Crown Point, Indiana, USA - SEP 7, 2004
Festival tap: Caramel color, nutty nose. Too sweet, like dumpster juice. Sweetness overpowers. badgerben (5282) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - JUL 31, 2004
Pours a very dark brown, almost black color with a medium head. Aroma of nuts and chocolate. The nut taste seemed to be of walnuts for me. More sweet chocolate as well. It almost seemed an attempt at a sweet stout. I wasn’t expecting much so this was a very nice surprise!

Nutty smell. Nice dark color with thin, but heavy head. Feels watery in the mouth, but tastes thick like a chocolate shake. Great brew from LogJam. beermatrix (1497) - Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA - MAR 8, 2004
Thin brownish ruby color with a thin whitish head that left in a hurry, no real lace sticks. Smell is light malts of a slight roast and nuttyness, with a rather interesting chocolate undertone that helps a it out a smidge. Taste is rather lack luster though, slight roast and nuts, a bit sweet but tame in that regards with a slight starch or husk getting in the way and one hell of a quick finish, where'd it go, I thought I was drinking something? Feel is thin and watery, very inaffective body, nothing much going on here. Boring to say the least, shows effort but needs much improvement. LiebeBier (808) - Annapolis, Maryland, USA - MAY 17, 2003
This is a great beer. It had a great dark brown color with a long lasting head. Very malty with a sweet flavor. Very good beer. I will try to have more of this brewers beer. redlem (1306) - Ohio, USA - APR 7, 2003
Dark caramel color with a thin small off white head. Roasted, nut malt aroma. Lip tingling brown ale. The best of the Logjam bunch. JPDIPSO (6262) - Wauwatosa, USA - AUG 12, 2002
Aroma of dark malts with flavor to follow. Almost a brown porter. Dark grainy malts dominate the flavor, but I like malty beers. A it sweet in the finish. A decent session brew.
