Smells acidic tart Earthy cherry sour. Glowing maroon color with lively pink head. Earthy cherry sour taste a little dirt flavor in there. Palte fades slowy but moist and refreshing, 77ships (11051) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - JUL 31, 2016
Thank you Joes! 750 ml. bottle sampled @ ZZT 2016-1. Red amber, little head. Nose is sweet cherry – massive with low complimentary sourness. Taste is massive rich, juicy sweet cherry with low complimentary sourness,…. This tastes like they used delicious sweet cherries & not sour ones as promised by the label (kriek = sour cherry), doesn’t matter, this is delicious, fruit is massive, juicy, sourness is amazingly restrained & complimentary especially for an USA brewer, faint oak. Rich bodied. Very nice fruit sour. Great stuff. Beerdrinker79 (2218) - Idaho, USA - APR 5, 2014
750 ml wax dipped bottle- Pours very hazy ruby red to orange with a light tan crackly head that could get away from you if not poured carefully yet never quite goes away. Aroma is strong in cherries, tart, cherry pie filling, very nice aroma. Taste is very tart cherries, the barrel aging has added massive complexity, vinegar and funk. World class beer that I loved! Wonderful sour cherry aroma, beautiful burgundy color, lactic and sour/tart palate with a dryish finish.
Excellent example of the style. GreatDane1632 (1174) - North Dakota, USA - MAY 26, 2016
750mL bottle into a teku -- A very dark muddy red pour with light pink head. The nose is tart cherries with a hint of candy. Flavor is dry tart cherry that is extremely refreshing. Extremely pleasant beer.

Reddish pour, light head. Love the cherries and balsamic notes in this one. A hint of oaky goodness. Damn this is really good. great brewery! DConMan (114) - Ballwin, Missouri, USA - MAR 31, 2013
Received this beer from a friend in CA, coming from Stearn’s Liquor in Long Beach, CA. Poured from the 1 pint, 9.4 fl. oz. bottle into a 4 Hands Tulip Glass. Has Botlte No. C 1/37 - Best by: 06/2017 on the back of the label.
Aroma- has an unfamiliar cherry aroma and bit of musk behind it. Puckers the nose even.
Appearance- Pours a 2.5 finger head that has great head retention. Leaves a few suds behind but no real lace and the body of the beer is dark copper with a glow to it. Has no clarity.
Flavor- Starts musky and has this "Oregon cherry" taste that I’ve never experience. Dull but puckers and is very sweet.
Mouthfeel- Light Bodied, Medium-High Carbonation, Effervescent, Musky finish and tart cherries.
Overall Impression- Awesome Kriek! I’m interested in trying more American sours and this one was a great example of the style. I’m hoping to find another bottle of this or their Peche and see how they age. Recommend if available!
