Taster at DBS. Light brown color with a red hue. Cherry flavored of course, decent beer, but not quite as balanced as I thought it should be. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Fajnie wiśniowe, lekki funk, wino. Smak świetnie zbalansowany, mała kwaśność, gładkie, średnie ciało, umiarkowana wytrawność. Dla mnie pycha :)

Rich, super deep muddied brown and dark copper coloured body with a thick, but fairly fast-dying tan head, about three centimetres at first and a good ruby glow when held up to a light, with a bit of chunk noticeable. Aroma of super cherries, rasberries, strawberries and a big dry oaky scent as well from the barrels, along with a mellow sweetness noticeable from honey. Medium-bodied; Strong cherry flavour at first with a big dose of earthy malts and a touch of grain near the end, along with a touch of caramel and toffee sweetness and ending with some of the dry, funky yeast notes and way more of the cherry fruits. Aftertaste is deep and very fruity with a large dose of grain and earthy malts around, some light nutty flavours and a good deal of caramelised sugar sweetness. Overall, a nice and robust Oude Bruin with a big dose of cherries, but also a supportive set of malts and sweetness from caramel - nice and deep with a complex finish, but not all sour and funky flavours here. Nice to try and a good option, just not the best Soured Bruin that i've had. Theoretically worth searching out for if you love the style, but probably expensive compared to other options if you don't live in the PNW. I sampled this 75 cL wax-sealed bottle purchased from Made in Oregon in PDX Airport (D Terminal) on 28-April-2013 for US$19,95 sampled at home in Manassas, Virginia on Christmas Eve 2016, almost three years after purchasing this, on 25-December-2016.

Cherry, malt and great tang like Chinese dynasties. Great balance. Pours brown with good head and lacing. Tap at Snally.

750ml brown bottle with a weird thin filmy wax over the cap (!?). Poured out golden red. Head was weak and thin and faded out. The nose was winey with cherries. The taste was winey and dry, lemony. The Flanders red base defiantly is there and the cherries addition adds a nice extra depth. The alcohol integrates well. Beautiful beer.

Light greenery, wheat, and lemon. Taste is sweet berries, cherries, vanilla and light malt. Nice hazy red with a thin tan head.

1/2 pint from tap at Penguin Bar, Bilbao. brown/reddish cloudy color, small off white head. smells light funk, nice wood notes, marzipan, nutty, very light cherry notes, very nice smell. Full body, light carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes lightly sour, some cherries, hints of funk, grassy, wood, marzipan nutty. finishes very light with notes of cherries, wood and grass. loved the smell, taste just trails away, finish is too boring. would like to rate this higher, but finish is basically tasteless, might be related to freshness.

Tap. Aroma has toffee malts and dark cherries. Pours reddish amber with a circle of thin tan foam. Taste has medium sweetness but the tartness is there from the start. This ensures that the flavours linger well with only mild carbonation. It was a hit with me.

Draught at City Beer. Dark copper color, white head. Sour taste with cherry, tart, wheat, a bit sour apples, acidic notes and grass. Sour finish with cherry, tart, a bit of sour apples and acidic notes. Very nice sour ale.
