COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fresh Hop Beer 2011 - We spent the hot summer day hand selecting 9 varieties of organic hops growing at our friends Eric and Jennifer Miller Larch Creek Farms in Dufur, Oregon. We drove them straight to the brewery and loaded up our conditioning tank with Seizoen and all the fresh hops we could stuff in.

Bottle Pours very hazy orange hue with a small soapy white head and lots of awesome lacing. Nose is funky herbs lots of husky malts yeast twang. Very nice traditional Saison but I prefer the normal and bretta versions. Great nonetheless. Lots of grassy and grainy notes on the finish.

On tap at Steins Beer Garden. Spicy aroma without any hops. Very tasty; tropical fruit hops, big spice, dry finish.

Chuck’s 85th, Seattle. Pale yellow, some haze, soft white bubble foam. Lovely sweet saison ester aroma, herb and grass. Hops add a green, herbal complex to the already herbal grassy body. A bit flabby at points, plenty of esters, but it’s quite nice. Green hops are welcome addition.

750 from Whole Foods PM. Poured hazy straw with off-white head. Nose was hops, florals, pale malt, yeast. Tasted floral, dry, hoppy, with big hops abounding and notes of florals, white pepper, and white wine.

750 ml bottle poured. Pours a cloudy, light orange color with a foam head that actually resembled Mt. Hood. Strange, yet awesome. Huge, tangy orange aroma. Flavor is sweet and tart orange fruit, with the tart lingering. Standing hop profile, with a dry finish. Overall a standout, exceptional beer. Loved it.

(En fût à Stout Burgers): Un nez très herbacé, évanescent de citronelle et de brett savonneux. En bouche c’est un oreiller confortable, juteux et poussiéreux. Superbe.
