Fishermen enjoy a beverage while casting away. Whether fishing or imbibing, there are limits, whether it be a 5 leader or 5 liters. Saisons were brewed back in the day for farm workers with a 5 liter daily limit, a satiating standard that would allow for ample thirst quenching in any condition while still being able to complete the task at hand, both then and now. Our session-style Szechuan Brett was designed to do just that. Whether farming or fishing, a little lighter beer extends the limit, a little pepper spice provides a little more character without over doing. What ever you limit is, enjoy our Szech ’n Brett, have a good catch, we do!

Very nice aroma with brett. Disappointing and even annoying taste. Way too much soap and wax in taste and palate.

Aminatchime (276) - BELGIUM - DEC 10, 2017
Helder gele kleur en dikke fluffy schuimkraag. Geur is zuur, paardestal en peper met een lichte florale ondertoon. Smaak is floraal, bitter en peperig. Niet mijn ding.

thnx to 90. huge gusher . kept going untill 3/4 of the bottle was poured . Pours unclear blonde, huge foam of course, very fluffy and high stability when it settles. Smell is huge funk. brett, sharp fruity sidenote. saison peppery notes ( sechuan pepper, so i've learned ) Taste is sharp, bit herbal, full, peppery, with brett. rather high carbo. mild peppery ( black pepper style ) aftertaste.

Tap at St. Augustine's. Peppery nose with citrus fruits and biscuity malts. Cloudy golden color with a lacy head. Manageable spicing, not too much but evident, citrus fruit, spicy yeast too. Decent.

My Bottom Line:
Peppery brettanomyces, herbal hops and hay-like cereals are pounded by furious bubbles in this airy Wild Ale.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A heap of foam sits atop the hazy blond.
-This bottle was a gusher, and so overcarbonated for the first few minutes in the glass.
-The delicate dosage made it all quite drinkable.
-Szechuan pepper fit in nicely with the brett and herbal hop signature.

Carnivale Brettanomyces, 2017, van tap @Beertemple. geel/gouden met lichte kraag. moutig, citrusvruchten, gras, stro, hooi, saison kruidig, droog, wat peper, wel wat weird. ben er niet helemaal weg van

On tap at Beer Gonzo, Coventry. Cloudy yellow golden colour with a white head. Aroma citrus lemon, spice and Brett. Taste lemon spicy.

75 cl bottle @ home. Pours cloudy yellow with a white head that leaves a little lacing. Aroma and flavour are brett, leather, lemons, and spices - with a tart finish.

From a bomber poured in a Pint. Exploded with bubbles when I opened it - some spontaneous fermentation going on there, it definitely wasn’t shaken up. Didn’t taste infected though but did smell like vinegar. Flavor was tart and medium bodied with good juicy fruit flavor. Not bad, but I was expecting a lot more and was especially disappointed by the foamy mess I got opening the bottle.
