Pour a cloudy/hazy yellow with fizzy white head. Funk, wheat, spice, and some grass on the nose; follows onto the palate. Light bodied. Finishes with brett character, a little tart and dry with some wheat tones.

On tap @ Taps Barrel House. Cloudy golden beer with a white head. Didn’t immediately realize from the name that it was a pepper beer. Oh well. More than anything, I just get a lot of grass, straw, and some general green/herbaceous qualities. Pretty funky, too, actually. Lots of basement and barnyard notes to it. There’s a light fruity quality that is pretty nice, perhaps baked apple and a subtle tropical fruit juice thing going on. Lightly bitter and pretty dry. Not bad.

On tap at Logsdon tap house hood river. Pours a light golden topped with topped with a fizzy head. Nose is herbs spice some fruit notes and wood. Taste is more of the herbs and spices light fruit notes along with some wood.

appearance: clear light yellow (hazier as the lees worked their way in with later pours), short, dense, creamy bright white head and minimal lacing. aroma: stone fruit and yeast, with green apples, almond skin, orange zest, and a slightly musty yet sharp funk with lots of peppery notes (peppercorn for sure). taste: slightly sour fruit up front (lemon, apricot, kiwi), with peppery, yeasty phenols, some brett bandaid sharpness, a bit of cracker and some peach pit. finish: slightly aspirin note in the finish, a little herbal and harp, with a tad of the brett funk underneath. notes: Not a bad saison. Surprised by the slight sourness, but the herbal and peppery notes were as expected. Palate was good. Maybe just a bit too much brett skunking. Bottle from the Rare Beer Club.

Chuck’s CD, Seattle. Draft. Very pale yellow. Lovely aroma, rosemary and fresh herbs. Smooth sweet sip, some herbal-veggie notes, milder round finish. Herbal bitters finish. Sweet, clean, great herbal. Nice.

Bottle @ Beerbecue at joes, small sample. Hazy golden color, medium frothy head. Aroma of bit bretty bubblegum, spices, bit flowery. Bit grainy in taste, some flowery bitterness, bit funky, dry, and quite some spices, bit peppery. Enjoyed this one.

Bottle shared at a level 42 tasting Canary wharf 5/5/2016. Many thanks to Colin for this one. Translucent golden orange coloured pour with a thin white head. Aroma is peach and apricot, Belgian yeast, light stale grains, wheat. Flavour is composed of light grains stale white bread, light brett funk. Palate is medium bodied, highish carbonation, Good.
