Not a bad beer for the money, $1.00 a bottle. Beer pours very nice, good foam head and great smell. I would give this beer to my best friend.....

Tasty dark beer with a balanced taste. Drunk in a cosy Inn in the Spessart in Germany.

500ml bottle at Schonborn Cafe, Wurtzburg, Germany. Poured a dark hazy brown colour with a three-finger light beige foamy head that collapsed fairly quickly and laced OK. Aroma slightly of cloves. Taste yeasty followed by spicy cloves. Light to medium body. Short clovey finish. Easier to drink as not as clove dominated at the Julius Echter Weissbeir.

500ml flip top bottle at abv 5.2 % bought at YATA in New Town Plaza, Shatin.

Cloudy hazy dark copper brown colour with muddy sediments; Explosive three finger head with lovely, crumpety off-white beige foam which lasts for about 2 minutes; Excellent lacing and fizzy carbonation; Aroma of banana, vanilla, roast nuts, cloves, malt, light pineapple and spices; Light sweet and tart taste of light banana mash, caramel, lightly roasted malt, light cloves and sour citrus and faint herbs; Mid to light body, slick palate; Tartness dominate the associated weizen elements; Hoppiness is also tart-driven citrus, bitterness is near zero. Slightly dry and crisp after taste, very easy to mouth.

Comments: A proper dunkelweiss with malt roastiness shows up more in aroma than in taste. It has very good head, right look and taste. If the aroma has more dimensions, lessen its tartness and put a bit more bitter hops, than this would be a great one. For now, it’s a little more than decent.

Excellent Dunkel! Brought this guy home from Germany, and I wish I would have brought more. Probably my favorite beer I brought back with me. Malty, grain slight brown sugar scent over a dark brown pour with a big frothy head, light tan in color. Medium body with a bubbly fizzy feel. Slight toffee fronted taste, malt, brown sugar, and toasted grain. Yummy.

Hazy brown appearance with a tan head. Dark wheat nose with some sweetness. Pretty sweet, dark toasty, wheat malty body.

Bottle. Hazy medium brown color with a thick foamy head. Quite much visible yeast on the tip of the bottle. Aroma of ripe banana. Dry wheaty taste with yeast. Sweet banana in finish.

UPDATED: JUL 24, 2012 Dark, hazy brown with an off white/light tan head. It smelled like toasted malt with maybe a little caramel in there. Slighty sweet and not very bitter. Full-bodied beer that feels a little creamy. Not too much carbonation. Seems like a pretty good beer to me.
