750 ml corked and caged bottle shared by Kevin poured a clear tarnished gold with a lingering ring of off white foam. Aromas of sour apple, light earthiness, light vanilla and hints of biscuits and honey. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of sour apple, biscuit, butter, light earthiness and light honey with a crisp dry lingering buttery apple finish. BeerandBlues2 (13594) - Escondido, California, USA - DEC 26, 2010
Bottle shared by Kevin via Lumpy. Pours clear gold with a medium-small, fizzy white head, short retention with spare to no lacing. Aroma is fresh apple, earth, straw, barnyard, apple skin, and buttery biscuit. Flavor is light apple skin, straw, and earthy-cheesy notes; faint brown sugar notes late. Light body, medium carbonation, and a dry finish. DeanF (2469) - Alberta, CANADA - JUN 5, 2010
Had to try this one, in a black 750ml bottle, corked with what looks like real old-fashioned cork and none of that plastic stuff you see often these days. Pours gold with just a little head but that’s gone in seconds. Aroma is perfumy, complex, lots of apple and alcohol, slight nutty notes. Taste is extremely dry and strange, almost no sweetness, like sucking on an apple branch. Very dry and sour finish. Not what I was expecting and I was not pleasantly surprised. chriso (7569) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 23, 2009
Bottle at Tom’s Tasting, April 2009. Slightly sparkling. Quite sweet despite the Extra Brut moniker. Easygoing, with some musky notes in the aroma. Pleasant enough but not very memorable.

Warm gold... Good description Fin! That’s exactly what it was. These French ciders are usually pretty standard at best. This was a very pleasant break from the norm. Faintly sweet but just about dry enough. Good level of spice. Plenty of flesh with a bit of skin in the finish. Bright and chewy. Very tasty.
Bottle that I picked up at Carrefour, Calais, Mar’ 09 consumed 29-05-09 Pours warm gold with a thin white head and med’ carbonation. Slightly boozy aroma with heavy apple and toffee apple. Good fruitiness, little crunchy bite, nicely ripe apples, good tang, its quite tasty. A7 A4 F7 P3 Ov14 3.5 DonMagi (5593) - bantervile, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - MAY 3, 2009
