Bomber. Pours deep brown with hints of red and a light tan head. Aroma of smoke, chocolate, coffee. Tastes of coffee, caramel, smoke and roast, light earthen hops. Tasty representative of the style. bvc (1242) - Washington, USA - MAR 6, 2010
22oz bottle from me picked up at John’s; I’m so good to myself! Super dark brown, basically black with a uniform creamy beige head. Nose is pretty much pure coffee, with some hazelnut, chalk, licorice and light smoke malt. Body is a touch light or thin but carb is sufficient. Sweet maple, hazelnut, roasted malt and a ton of coffee. On the end, I get some bitter licorice as well. I do not have a ton of baltics under my belt, but I do enjoy this one. Love the amount of coffee but it may be a touch thin and maybe a bit sweet, but not a huge knock. stchloe (1104) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUL 24, 2012
Love a beer that smells almost as good as it tastes. Solid baltic porter with a great chocolate roasted malt body that evokes hints of earthy coffee. Ever so slight bitter prevents runaway creaminess, and it all looks damn good too. DrinkEmUpJones (1069) - Georgia, USA - MAY 20, 2013
Almost black in color with off white lacing. Roasted aroma with vanilla notes. Palate is slightly sweet with vanilla popping up as well. Solid beer for the baltic porter style. cathcacr (647) - Oregon, USA - MAR 30, 2010
Uber-sweet, and while I love this style I didn’t pick up anything particularly special about this after the surface-level sweetness. Little complexity I could take note of. But tasty enough in its general sweetness to merit its B+ grade.

Poured from bomber, dark brown with minimal tan head. Nose was a bit musty, smoky. Complex taste; chocolate, coffee. Medium thin bodied with a cola like feel. Interesting beer, would try again. a_sully (457) - - MAR 24, 2016
Deep dark brown body with a tan head. Aroma of coffee. Taste of coffee and nuts. Lovely overall.

750ml bottle, poured into a tulip. Pours dark black with a nice mocha head that reduced to a ring around the glass with moderate lacing. Coffee was upfront in the nose along with some toasted nuts and other toasty/roasty notes. Nice medium mouthfeel with a fair bit of carbonation. Coffee was predominate in the flavor as well, but also noted stinky cheese, cocoa powder and a slight smokiness. Dry with a lasting finish. A nice beer from one of my favorite local brewers.
