2009 on tap at the Holiday Ale Fest. Pours a clear brownish copper color. The aroma is sweet apples and honey. The spices are mellow, big fruity notes, heat, sweet sticky honey. Quite nice really. A light spicy core. chibuck (3513) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 4, 2011
bottle... bright dark amber with some copper, no head... dead nose, a bit of honey... taste is horrendous, really bad cough syrup, PASSS boFNjackson (4201) - Portland, Oregon, USA - APR 11, 2010
Bottle... Poured an amber/copper/red with a thin head. Candied, sugared, honey, malty, earthy aroma. Moderate carbonation, a little dry. A solid, bozziness with a bit sweet, honey and grain character. Apple-like, light fruit, and wine-like tones. But mostly a accents the honey sweetness and strong boozy malts.
