Hophazard (193) - San Francisco, California, USA - FEB 28, 2011
Citrus and pine aroma. Dark golden with creamy, thick white head. Grapefruit hop flavor but malt appears supportive. Moderately dry finish. Light bodied. Ok as an IPA, but nothing stands out. Pretty sessionable but subdued hop flavor. Bitterness liners.

Bottle:   Amberish, slight haze, moderate to large frothy off-white head, nice lacing.   Dank wet hop nose, a little musty, some basement.   Smells aged to a degree, not fresh and bright.   Body and mouthfeel are average.   I almost get a wet cardboard like flavor on the exit.   Lingering overcooked vegetables.   Yeah... this one is not working for me.   I dont think its an old bottle, so gotta think of this as something to avoid.

draft. bronze body. woody/nutty nose, medium to light caramel malt. aroma hops are spicy, resinous, woody (wood oil). approach lightly sweet, mid-palate medium-low chewiness, finish is moderately bitter and husky/grain-like. some vegetables and broth flavors but for the most part its straightforward.

[2963-20100626] Tap. Fresh bready hops aroma. Clear, dark orange amber body with a long-lasting creamy off-white head. Initial bread flavour followed by bitter and full grain malt notes. Medium body is a little rough. Interesting to try, some bitter rough notes.

2010-06-26. Crisp dark amber body with a modest beige head. 3+ Modest leafy hops over caramel malt in the aroma. Rather nice hop profile starts it out, citrus melange, very light resin. Sweet core of malt balances things out, perhaps a bit to much as it provides a lot of sweetness, muting the effect of the hops a bit. 7+ Smooth average plus palate is lightly carbonated. Very drinkable, but Id prefer to tip the balance just a touch more towards the hops for my own tastes. On Tap at the brewpub, Portland.

tronraner (2459) - Walland, Tennessee, USA - APR 29, 2010
Draught at Urban Farmer. Pours a nice bold copper color with dense ecrue head. The aroma is nice and orangey with some grapefruit and honey notes and a little bit of lemonbread. The flavor is orangey hops with a bit of grapefruit and pine. A bready caramel malt sweetness lurks in the background. The finish is mild bitterness and some fruitiness. Good stuff, though it gets kinda soapy as it warms.
