Rare and sour. Best combo ever. Nose of acetone wood tart cherry or something some balsamic. Pours reddish brown, thin head. Flavors of acetone wood funky dust tart cherry balsamic and other sour shit. Lingering acetone sour. Not my favorite effort but at least its rare. Tap at Fifth Quadrant (NOL) - 07/11/12.
This beer looked the part ! Hazed light chestnut brown with reddish hues and a thin off white head that eased to the edge of the glass.
Nose is harsh alcohol, wood, sour vinegar, Ronseal - unfortunately doing what it said on the tin - MEH !
Taste is sour (that was the correct aspect), vinegar, piss, varnish (which I obviously haven’t tasted but am thinking it’s pretty rank!), some light cherry notes.
Medium bodied with spritzy carbonation and a sour - piss - Ronseal finish.
2out of 5 of us had this, we both left 85% of the glass.
File under ’M’ for MEH!
