3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
22 oz. bottle. Colour... nearly black with a thin head. Nose... lightly baked brownies (fudge brownies, that is). Palate... rather creamy with plenty of froth, a roasty character and loads of Dutch processed cocoa to round it all out. Not my first pick for this style, but solid nonetheless!

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Horse Brass. Deep black pour with a small tan head. Nice big chocolate aroma followed by nice chocolate, roasted malt and a slight alcohol burn. A slight bit astringent, but a solid beer all the same.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap @ Horse Brass. Black pour with a short-lived khaki head. Slightly sweet, almost nutty aroma, mild coffee, molasses. Creamy palate, right amount of carbonation. Taste is sort of raisiny to start, then some mild roast compliments the sweetness. Pretty nice.

2.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
On tap at Bailey’s Taproom. Ebony body with a smooth khaki head. Big roasted malt nose of chocolate. This started so great but the finish was all messed up, something funky going on, slightly vegi and metallic note. The malts up front were great, but something was wrong with the finish.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Nitro @ Bailey’s Taproom... Poured black with a tan head. Aroma of coffee and roasted notes. Palate was full and foamy with meaty flavors of dark chocolate and a little alcohol before the roasted malt balanced it all in the finish.
