Cask at the 13th Egham Beer Festival. Pitch black with a loose tan head; roasted nut aroma; the taste is full of deeply roasted nuts, with some vinous fruit in the background; the finish is rich, warming, and port-like. Rather good.
Bottle thanks to Graeme. Pours a cloudy brown with small beige head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is toasted malts, nuts, wood. Thin mouth feel with light roast, toffee, good. Stuu666 (14596) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAR 12, 2015

Bottle(@Kris Wines):Very, very deep brown coloured with a small and stable tanned head, moderate dry coffeish nose, completed by dried fruits, dark malt and a tinge of Worchester Sauce; robust dry bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied and astonishingly very soft; lingering sweet-bitter chocolatey and dark-fruity and roasty finish. Bottle from The Kernel Brewery, Bermondsay. Poured a thick black colour with a medium, dense tan head. Strong aroma of cocoa, vanilla and a slightly salty edge. Full, silky mouth feel. Flavours of coffee, liquorice and dark rum. Leaves with espresso, roasted malts and tangy black syrup. Great balance between bitter and sweet flavours.
