COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Initially Pioneer I: Yellow Rose, later on became a regular.

A SMaSH, Single Malt and Single Hop, IPA using a caboodle (technical term for a large amount of malt) of malt and a new hop released in 2012 called Mosaic (HBC 369). It is a daughter of Simcoe (YCR 14), one of our favorite hops. Whole cone Mosaic is used for bittering, flavoring, and aroma in the kettle; it is also massively dry hopped. The beer is named after a Texas Heroine.

Tasting notes: chalk-white head with a very clean malt backbone. The hops impart strong grapefruit, pineapple, and blueberry flavor and aroma. A strong beer that is extremely quaffable.

Golden pale, hazy, with thin white head. Grapefruit, honeysuckle, flower, apple scents. Medium-strong bitterness rounded out with a mild malty sweetness. Has a fairly easy drinking up front, but slightly strong after taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Keg at Flying Saucer, Houston. It pours clear golden - amber with a medium white head. The aroma is fresh, bready, juicy, bright grapefruit character, grassy, danky, spring onion and stewed nectarine/peach. The taste is crisp, bitter, dank, grassy, green hoppage, grapefruit, minerals, light spice and light alcohol with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate, prickly carbonation. Rather tasty stuff.

Golden yellow pour, some light passes, small white head leaves lacing. Wow catty hops batman. Tomato plant leaves, mild pineapple light bitterness with undertones of sweetness. Light to medium body. Mosaic hops are not my bag baby, yeah. But if their yours, prepare to become erect.

750 ml bottle sampled at Marks Last Hurrah tasting. Thanks again! Pours a hazy pear juice color (end of the bottle, though; it might be clearer normally) with a small white head that settles into a lasting film. Notes of pineapple, citrus, sweet dough, florals, grass, and hay. Light-bodied, with moderate to medium carbonation and a sweet, fruity, balanced mouthfeel. Nice funky IPA.

Bottle: The aroma consists of moderate citrus, light tropical fruits, pine, light dank hops, and grapefruit. It pours a hazy dull golden-orange with a small white head that fades to a minimal film outlined by a thin ring. The flavor starts with moderate citrus and tropical fruits. The finish has moderate grapefruit, pine, and light dank hops. Its light-medium bodied with light-moderate carbonation.
