COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Initially Pioneer I: Yellow Rose, later on became a regular.

A SMaSH, Single Malt and Single Hop, IPA using a caboodle (technical term for a large amount of malt) of malt and a new hop released in 2012 called Mosaic (HBC 369). It is a daughter of Simcoe (YCR 14), one of our favorite hops. Whole cone Mosaic is used for bittering, flavoring, and aroma in the kettle; it is also massively dry hopped. The beer is named after a Texas Heroine.

Tasting notes: chalk-white head with a very clean malt backbone. The hops impart strong grapefruit, pineapple, and blueberry flavor and aroma. A strong beer that is extremely quaffable.

Nice fruity hop aroma. Poured a clean golden color with white head. Fruity hop dominance. Pretty good. Notes: On tap at the Kirby Ice House Houston, Super Bowl Sunday ’17

Amazing IPA and simple perfection. This is one that stands above most without doing anything off the wall. Instead, it's made great because it hits every basic point exactly right. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

500ml bottle from bananabi11, shared with Ky. Thanks! 11/28/2016 bottle date. A bit of an "east coast" juicy brew look. Very hazy. Citrus nose. Pineapple. Sweet caramel underneath. Some berry. Well blended taste. Finishes fruity bittersweet. Very nice, especially for a SMASH! 15

UPDATED: MAR 11, 2017 Thnx to Kenny ! Pours unclear yellow, good white head. Smell is fruity , some blueberries indeed (thnx, description ! ) rather creamy. taste is full, surprisingly bitter. Very crisp maltyness ( i love that !) some citrussy notes. Bit floral as well, and all in a great balance and intensity. Also the mouthfeel is really good, with a perfect carbo. I’d love to try an imperial version of this, but I can honestly say it’s one of the ( or the ? ) best mosaic IPA’s i’ve had so far. 4.1 re-rate after a second bottle. this should be at least a few months old now, so actually ’too old’ for the IPA-purists. I must say I like it as much as the one I drank 2 months (?) earlier, perhaps even more ! This is impressive, and thus I feel like I should ’up ’ the score just a little bit.

Bottle @ Lingua tasting, thanks to Justin. Pours a hazy yellow gold. Big tropical dry-hopped aroma, with grapefruit and pineapple shining, some light crackery malt. Flavour takes a half second to kick in and then tropical fruits burst over the palate, a tropical melange, with some piney hop with rising bitterness on the backend. The crackery Pils malts keep it lean and drinkable, the bitterness almost outplays it, yet it keeps a decent balance. Nice stuff.

A honey gold it’s got a filmy white head. A prickly pear fruity hop bouquet - mosaic. Soft roundouthfeel and raspy carbonation. The taste earthy bitter tropical fruits, kind of like the bark meeting the fruit steam. Crisp flavor, bitter but balanced.

Growler from What's on Tap. Dark, hazy brown with an off-white head. Fruity and piney aroma. Sort of sweet up front with a nicely balanced hoppy finish, very mild bitterness. Nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
