COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Imperial India Pale Ale uses Golden Promise malt and two very pungent whole cone American hops. This brew is hopped so heavily that post-boil, after all of the wort has been transferred to the fermenter, the hop mass at the bottom of the kettle is more than one foot deep. Post-fermentation, Jabberwocky is dry hopped with colossal amounts of the same two hops. The beer is named after a monster we all hold dear.

Poured into a globe glass: deep copper orange with a tan tinted head, about an inch, settling after a couple minutes, leaving light lacing. Smells of honey, dank resin, some alcohol. Its caramel-ly, citrusy, bitterness of orange rind, pennies, aspirin. Bold and full-flavored but fairly balanced overall. Creamy mouthfeel with adequate carbonation. I dont think its quite as dry as a standard IPA, sweetness and alcohol carry it along, but I really like it. Not unhappy.

Bottle to glass. Pours a hazed reddish-copper, minimal light beige head, spotty lace. Wonderful aroma! Honey, hibiscus, sweet biscuit, piney hops.... It all comes together richly. Taste didnt entirely match the nose to me... Medium bodied, a bit maltier than expected, toasty grains, more honey, very fresh with a mild, but lingering bitter but in the end. Became a little hoppier and a little boozier with warmth.

A beautiful day outside and poured from a growler. Nice, thick head. Not as hoppy as I was expecting but very nice for a day like today. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at home. Pours a hazy copper color, thin white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is tropical fruit, mango, pineapple, lightly sweet honey. Taste is brutal pine, faint citrus fruit, harshly bitter and slightly sweet. Tastes a little different than the aroma. The bitterness is not well integrated in my opinion. Medium body, high carbonation. I dont think Id drink again.

Draft. Aroma is hopped with one of the "c" hops, I am guessing centennial. Appearance is a hazy as hell gold with a white head. Taste is a sweet hop that smoothes out and finishes resiny. Palate is a dank hop. Overall, a good, easy drinking double. Would buy again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
