16oz can poured into a shaker. Pours a clear pale yellow with about a half finger of white head. Light aroma of hops and malt. Taste is light sweet. Not much going on here for aroma or flavor. Medium bodied with a somewhat thick texture. Lively carbonation but not much of a finish. Overall, really not that bad. Id take it over BMC any day.

On tap at Blue Smoke, JFK. Golden lager. Eggy nose. Not much to it. Lots of malts and not much character.

Light straw creamy head. Aromas straw, maize and slight metal. Taste of sour maize, straw. The classic american lager so many know and love taste! Awful!

grabbed at a gas station near my hotel in Paris, Tx. Did you know they have a replica Eiffel Tower here? That makes 2 replicas Ive seen but not the original... not yet, at least. Anywho, this was right out of the sweaty can. Large amounts of corn and slight metal. No hop presence and lightly sweet. body is light. finish of metal is lingering. pretty much the swill I expected and desired.

Bottle at a country bar that I can only barely remember. What I do remember is that this was a sweet, sulfury mess of a beer that still managed to fit the vibe of square dancing and fried chicken.

Had a few of these at Gilleys in Dallas. (When in Texas...) Nothing spectacular, but nothing too offensive either. A very typical lager that you want to drink ice cold after working in a field, Id imagine.

Pours clear golden with medium white head. Nose is herbal hops. Aromas are grains, herbal hops, a lemony hint. Fizzy cabronation, light body. Boring lager, but hey! its Texas, baby! So its a great boring lager anyway.

Bottle at Brisket town. Thin and light brew, quite bitter but works well with spicy food.

Should be everyones favorite "few-too-many" beer. Average taste, average smell, good buzz, great price. Its not going to win any craft brewing awards but it gets the job done and costs about 1/2 of the name brands. Only wish theyd never shown it on True Detective because now all the fanboys are buying it up at my store thinking they are Rust Cole or something. Minimum 4 recommended each session.
