Overall decent porter, not as good as the stout but dark, robust porter is just what I needed maxwelldeux (4374) - Snohomish, Washington, USA - NOV 21, 2012
Draught. Pours a very black color with a moderate tan head. Nice little roasted and coffee notes to the nose. Light and easy drink. Very tasty. thornecb (5912) - Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA - MAY 14, 2012
Pours black into a shaker. Mocha head with good retention recedes to coat surface. Chocolate and espresso aromas. Smooth with earthy chocolate and espresso in the lasting finish. DiarmaidBHK (4907) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 15, 2012
Draft at BrixxChapel Hill. Pours very dark brown with half an inch of khaki foam. Not much on the nose. Fairly prominent chocolate notes on the tongue. Clean finisher. jcwattsrugger (12420) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - DEC 5, 2011
on tap-pours a tan head with black color. Aroma is roasty/molasses-medium/dark malt. Taste is roasty/molasses/dark chocolate-dark malt, secondary earthy hops. Nice chewy mouthfeel.

pint at Brewery 5-28-11. Good aroma, sweet, malty, chocolate, coffee, nutty, roasty. Brownish Black color, good head and lace. Sweet flavor. Medium body, smooth mouthfeel, sweet finish. Tasty brew, solid enough porter, nice balance in the aroma flavor was more roasty than sweet, but not overwhelmingly. badnewsbeers (2312) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - FEB 14, 2011
a very simple and basic porter. pours black with small beige head. mostly simple body of cocoa, nuts, light coffee and roasted malt. dry, subtly sweet and somewhat bland. Guyute_Pig (103) - Asheville, North Carolina, USA - FEB 13, 2011
Bottle courtesy of Ucusty. Aroma of chocolate and roast. Some raters have stated it was sweet for a porter, but I only found it to be mildly so of cocoa, chocolate and maybe a hint of coffee. Solid representation of the style, but nothing fantastic. rudolf (2360) - Buffalo, New York, USA - JAN 7, 2011
Bottle, extra from Hopper - thanks! Nose is cocoa, roast, some marshmallow, rich dark cherry cordials. Really nice. Flavor is cocoa, a bit of dark honey, very nice rich roast, some nice bitterness, fruit, tingly & cherry with a hint of smoke & vanilla in the finish. Really good, if a tiny bit sweet.
