On tap at the very first brewery tour. Dark pour with a nice tan head/ Roasted malt dominates the nose. Coffee, bitter chocolate, and just a touch of hop bitterness in the finish. Looking forward to drinking this again.
On tap. It poured a brown color with a tan head. The aroma was of malts, chocolate, coffee, nuts and some roast. The taste was similar to the aroma with more malts, chocolate, coffee, nuts, roast and a touch of hops. Tasty. geologyguy (1583) - Columbia, South Carolina, USA - FEB 10, 2017

Gift from Son The porter poured a opaque black color with tan head and lacing. The aroma of roasted malt and chocolate malt greet you. Nice head retention. Then taste is wonderful chocolate, prunes and some coffee notes. The porter has a medium body with soft carbonation. The finish is wonderful with chocolate and coffee closing out this special porter.. Maverick34 (3212) - New York, USA - OCT 16, 2016

Nice bready & chocolate sweetness on the aroma, with an obvious dark color and a light tan head. Taste is chocolate with some light roast, molasses & tobacco. Pretty robust and very flavorful. PorterPounder (7896) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - FEB 29, 2016
Stockbridge, Ga - Barley and Vine Growler Shop - 12 oz can. Deep, dark brown pour with some reddish tints, thin off-white head, Aroma has some nice bittersweet chocolate accents, a touch of creosote and cold day old coffee. Flavor has some sweet chocolate accents, a touch of dark roast coffee, some light, prune-like fruity accents. Mouthfeel is decently thick, some oily accents, could be a tad thicker. Overall, decent. 12 oz can obtained through Tavour. Lonerider DeadEye Jack is a darker brown opaque brew with a good head of tan bubbles. nose is chocolate and decent darker roasted malt sugars. Texture is silky but also thinner than average. A very decent porter. thetmaxx (917) - West Sacramento, California, USA - FEB 3, 2016
Poured from the can from tavour. Nice thick creamy head. Aroma is nutty, chocolatey. Some roasted grain. I’d say nutty to balance is the dominant flavor here. Palate is medium bodied, sparkley carbonation. Overall not bad, pretty good. HourGlass13 (849) - North Carolina, USA - JAN 2, 2016
Pours dark deep brown with a tan head. Aroma is roast, molasses and malt. Taste is the same, roast, molasses, dark chocolate, malt, slightly earthy. Thick and rich. Chewy. Excellent beer.
