Pours black and opaque with a nice 2-finger tan head with an aroma of chocolate malt and a hint of caramel. It’s dry and tastes of malt, anise and coffee with a hint of roasted cocoa in the finish. It’s creamy and medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

Draught. Pours a very black color with a moderate tan head. Nice little roasted and coffee notes to the nose. Light and easy drink. Very tasty.

Rich dark porter; received a couple of 6 packs from a friend. Nice foamy head when poured into a glass. Very dark porter. Tastes of chocolate, hazelnut; coffee and toffee. Very enjoyable to drink. A little heavy for consuming more than two. Nice for a cold fall or winter’s day.

Poured from the can from tavour. Nice thick creamy head. Aroma is nutty, chocolatey. Some roasted grain. I’d say nutty to balance is the dominant flavor here. Palate is medium bodied, sparkley carbonation. Overall not bad, pretty good.

Dark and rich porter. Depth with flavors of chocolate, malts, earthy leather. About half inch head in glass and slow to reduce. Balanced creamy, sharp, refreshing. Great finish no hoppy taste and mild bitterness. Was really impressed with this beer. Hard to find even in cooler months in Raleigh area.

Pours black into a shaker. Mocha head with good retention recedes to coat surface. Chocolate and espresso aromas. Smooth with earthy chocolate and espresso in the lasting finish.
