COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sweet Josie is crafted in the American Brown style. This is a complex beer balancing a nice hop bitterness with a generous amount of chocolate and aromatic malts.

A sweet malt aroma, pours a clear reddish brown color with a short lasting tan well laced head. A sweet malt taste with a watery body and a short lasting malt finish.

Can, very dark brown with a foamy head, sweet toffee on the nose with hints of resin and coffee, sweet bodied with a bit of toasty bread, a light spicy hoppiness, a little burnt cocoa and a sweet caramel hit in the finish.

chocolate, caramel, brown, medium sweetness, medium body, smooth, well crafted beer. My go-to beer when looking for something that everyone will like.

Draft. Roasty toast aroma. Flavors are of mocha kissed by orange, with a mild suggestion of honey and coffee. The little bits of orange and honey sweetness add wonderful complexity.

Jabah (500) - Winter Park, Florida, USA - JAN 9, 2016
Grabbed a 6-pack of this while in the Asheville area over the holidays. This reminded me somewhat of our Maduro brown by Cigar City here in FL. Malt is a little more roastier and heavier on the chocolate. Almost like a malta. Semi-creamy texture. I would look out for this one again.

On tap at The Hamilton. Nice dark brown body with medium head. Nose of malts, roastiness, nuts. Taste is malts a plenty, sweet, nuts, chocolate and some toffee. Good stuff.

Amber to medium dark. Slightly hoppy finish. More full bodied than other browns. Draft is rich. Changed a year ago from bottle to can at local stores and not the same. Mistake. Good overall but suggest Big Boss Bad Penny for local Raleigh brown ale.

Very nice brown ale that leaves a smooth chocolate / malty taste on the palate - giving a very nice finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draught at Vancouver Craft Beer Week 2015
Brown color with red shades, large compact head. The aroma is a bit yeasty, but the malt flavor is quite nice, a bit of sweet chocolate, not much bitter. Smooth.
Nice.

Orange highlights. Brown yet attractive. Lace and some retention. Grainy malty start almost porterish. Clean and nice mouthfeel. Some body to it. Light finish.
