Draft at beer authority. Deep orangish red in color with a little off white head. Malty toasty aroma. Toasty, nutty notes. Light hoppy malty flavor. Full bodied. Dry finish. Very drinkable.
Poured into a mug, the appearance was a dark copper to light amber sort of color with a fingerís worth of white foamy head that fell off at a decent pace. Subtle lace.
The aroma blended some earthy to grassy hops, light herbal to floral qualities, hay, light toast, some nuts, sweet grains/oats, dried leaves, and had some maltballs at the very end.
The flavor blended most of that but slightly left out the maltball part as it seemed more along the lines of just milk chocolate. A little bit of sweet wood came out here. Aftertaste was mainly the herbal to floral qualities with the chocolate and earthy to grassy hops. Finish was fairly smooth with the chocolate and earthiness.
The palate was between light and medium bodied with a decent sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt good.
Overall, now thatís a different Irish ale. I did have it in a mug, just like they would have back in the "day." Left me scratching my beard, but still, Iíd have this one again. mansquito (6338) - Nueva York, New York, USA - MAY 29, 2016
At the source: pours light amber with a whitish head. Aroma is light hops, light caramel, and toast. Lightly bitter. Not very sweet. Very easy. Nothing too complicated. zvikar (6087) - Ramat Gan, ISRAEL - DEC 29, 2014
Bottle shared at a tasting at Stasís place. Pours orange to brown with a beige head, aroma of grain, dark bread, acidity, flavor is grainy with dark bread, oxidation, light bodied. kerenmk (4722) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - DEC 18, 2014
Bottle sample at a tasting at Stasís place. Thanks zvikar. Hazy light brown. Candy and a little vegetal aroma, tarty taste but not in a good way and also vegetal. Light body, grainy undertones. DSG (14685) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - NOV 21, 2014
Bottle sample at a tasting at Stasís place. Thanks zvikar. Hazy reddish amber. Slightly sourish aroma with a big of vinegar, yeast, malt, caramel and some overripe fruits. Sweetish-sourish flavor with malt, yeast, graininess, some fruitiness and a bit of harsh bitterness. Medium-bodied. Seems like something went wrong here.

On tap. Reddish hue creamy head. Aroma is slightly skunky hops, malty cracker aroma. Flavor is similar. Hops, solid maltiness is very prominent. Decent mouthfeel. But not very good. Slipstream (2612) - USA - AUG 23, 2014
Nice pour with a big head. The aroma is fairly bland and yeasty, but it sweetens up as it warms. It is a pretty mild ale - there is a dash of grassy hops, and some muffin flavor, but the taste is pretty unexciting overall. It is based on an old Irish recipe, which is cool, but the result is a mediocre brew., bytemesis (8249) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - MAY 29, 2014
Bottle - bomber. Pours clear deep reddish amber with a medium quickly diminishing beige head, dissipates to a ring but laces fairly well. Aroma is very malty, nutty, toffee, caramel. Flavor follows, medium sweet, no real bitterness, malts coming at you from every direction, some honey as well. A bit of a lingering odd, a bit tart, finish, but otherwise not so bad. Medium body. howlinwlf (26) - Ronkonkoma, New York, USA - JAN 31, 2014
Poured 2 - 12 oz bottles into a tall .5 liter glass. The only impressive thing about this beer is the color. This beerís color belies its flavor, making this a very disappointing ale. There was no head through the entire 6 pack. Barely an aroma. A very simple and unmemorable ale that lacks any malt or hops. This brew relies on its honey components, which in the end wind up tasting like tin. I would not buy this again. scarletfire65 (1458) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 17, 2014
Bomber at home. Aroma of caramel malts, figs, raisins. A simple, flavorful, and very well balanced clear amber ale. Notes of berries and toffee. Quick, crisp, finish. Slight acidity.
