Poured into an English pint glass, the appearance was a slightly clear amber color. Some transparency and with a finger and a half’s worth of white foamy head. Fairly quick on the dissipation. Sly lace. The aroma had a decent blend of malt and spice. Somewhat cinnamon to allspice with a caramel/toffee/toast/biscuit quality about it. The flavor blended the spice to the malty sweetness fairly nice. Mildly blended on into the aftertaste and freely flowing into the finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Moderate carbonation. ABV felt appropriate. Overall, what’s not to like on a cold Winter’s night, yeah, I know, it’s Spring now, but if I could get this again, I’d have it again in the Winter.

he pour is medium brown with a 2-finger off-white head. The aroma is caramel malt, brown sugar, maple syrup, oats, cinnamon. smooth and crisp and rather complex palate. This one is a keeper

Bottle. Pours clear amber, medium beige head, dissipates fairly quickly, decent lacing. Aroma is malt, caramel, spices, cinnamon, allspice. Flavor is light sweet, spiced, a bit astringent, just a touch of bitterness on the finish. Light body. Spicy.

Draught. Hazy amber with good head and great lace. aroma is soft fresh malt and winter spice. Taste is well balanced with a clean cool bitter finish. MF is quite fresh. this is a nice surprise. The winter aspects are really well tuned and in balance with the rest.

Growler filled at Bellport Cold Beer & Soda and consumed the next day. Pours a hazy coppery amber with a moderate tan head that lasted through the first quarter of the glass and left partial lace. Pleasant aroma of spice (cinnamon) and malt. The flavor is similar, but the spicing is done perfectly. Its enough to be noticed but does not overwhelm the rest of the beer. Mild-moderate hops bitterness at the finish. When I think of a winter or holiday ale, this beer is exactly what comes to my mind. Well done!
